Cranberry?
Hi All,
I ordered Cranberry Red after seen a few options in person which were a deeper, darker, really cranberry type red color.
On some sites though I see red like the one in this 450 and I'm curious if this is different?

Time for ordered car to arrive
Hey Guys
I ordered my car a few weeks back. My dealer just emailed me that the build got moved up 1 week and gave me a VIN. He said the production started. Any idea how long it will take til it's delivered. I'm in NJ. Dealer told me I should get it before years end.
I went with:
Black
Cranbury Red
Carbon fiber interior
Multimedia/burmester
Night package
Lighting package
Pano sunroof
19" split 5-spoke black
AMG steering wheel
Rear camera
Thanks.

My detailer wants the paint to cure for 30 days or so before I take it in for the gtechniq coating on the car and wheels. So at least I get to drive it this weekend. Original plan was to drop it straight off to him for three days.

It's a bit pricey up front, about $1,300 for the car and wheels but the up keep is zero. Just a simple wash. No waxing, Polish, glazes, etc. water, dirt, brake dust just slides off the car.

With the quality of the paint on these modern cars, acidic rain should be the last of your concern, it's all a myth

The bigger point is, manufactures spent millions of dollars on research and development, and no detail is overlooked, paint and leather no different. I don't know why we think we should spend more money to "improve" on these things. Undercoating is another of the "improvements" that is a total waste of money that really add no value. People needs to understand, that with the advent of the internet, everyone have access to dealer invoice, so dealers profit margins are shrinking because of fierce competition, so these "add ons" are just ways to supplement profit, and a lot of times, dealers make more money on the "add ons and extended warranty, insurance etc" than they make on the sale of the car. As I said in previous post, feel free to spend your own money, but your car isn't any better off for it. I know I'm ranting, but it's an area I know a lot about.

I like the idea of not needing to wax a car. Not put swirl marks on the finish, etc
This keeps the wheels brake dust free with just a hose, no spending hours washing the car.
I spend a lot of time keeping my cars spotless and what not. So this keeps the work to a simple wash
We get a lot of tree sap, road grime, iron etc on the cars around here and this is a phenomenal product.

I did put a similar coating on the hood of my A6 about 6 months ago to test it out. Knowing I was going to buy a new car I wanted to see how difficult it was to work with. (Not easy, so definitely need someone trained to do it.). The hood was like water on a ducks back and the rest of the car wouldn't look and perform the same.
I know it's not for everyone. But is sure beats sitting in the hot *** garage in September in orlando trying to detail a car

Did anyone confirm the amg door pins. I placed an order on amazon from the c450amg.com page. I didn't try pliers yet, but they didn't come loose by hand. but I haven't put much effort into it as I wont have the pins until next week.
I did order up some amg valve stem covers for the wheels as well.
and btw, this whole 1000 mile break in period is very tough to follow thru with. you just want to step on it. but ive been pretty good about it.
