C450 AMG Sport discussion only.

Now, I don't really buy into either of the above, but I'm making a point. Both are valid (or were, at least) to many people. Everything you're saying can easily be countered in this regard.
Stop being so desperate to convince yourself (or others) one version is going to be perceived as better than the other simply because it's the one you have.
stop being offended that you can't afford c63 and want people to think your driving amg when you only have a c450. haha

What *does* concern me about the name change is whether the car will gain any other typical "true AMG" perks (outside of the hand-built engine). These being launch control, ability to turn off traction control completely, free AMG driving school course, etc. If this happens, yet everything stays the same including price, then I will definitely feel a little cheated having bought early.
But if it's just a badge change and nothing more, then I don't mind being in the minority of exclusive C450 owners.
Why don't you guys just remove the 0 from the back of your C450. Bam! Now you've got a C45. That is like so much cooler than a C43.

Do not post much but lurk around. The debate over badges has had me laughing a few times! I debadge all of my cars, "C450" was gone within a few days. Will wait and see what the C43 holds, I agree the race start and a few AMG specific features would be nice (no not the hand built engine). Ever read your owners manual and see the stuff labeled for AMG vehicles? Yeah, those. If the C43 turns out significantly different (I do not think it will) I will just unload mine and get it and remove the badges..
What I would like to see from Merc is better interior build quality, yes it is pretty and comfy but the squeaks and rattles, wow. This is my 7th Merc and this one makes more noise than all of the other 6 combined, by 2-3x. Both seat belt adjusters, info screen, instrument binnacle and deep in the center console. This is my commuter so I only drive it about 25 miles a day, occasionally on other errands, only 2100 miles on it. All paved of course.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
People are dying hungry, others dream to buy a Dacia and we have one of the best cars made in the last decades in what I call segment 3 = medium size sedan. So let's stop talking about 450, 43 and 76554...
Personally I bought a superb interior, a solid German car, 500+ of torque, a lot of hp, amazing speakers sound, the best pano sunroof I've never seen in the segment, the exact exhaust sound I've ever dreamt of (the best is being jags or Maserati but I don't see myself going to buy a piece of bread with such sound), many funny gadgets, a quasi unique sexy front grill, a lot of interior space, hands free stuff, a crazily nice steering wheel etc etc.... I don't care about the number on the *** of the car what I care for is that I love the car and enjoy every second driving it.
I look forward for sunny days (we have -4 degrees C these days...) to open all windows and roof and enjoy the engine music.
Comig back to more serious things, I have a question : I configured thenindividual mode with sport+ engine management, sport steering, comfort suspension and comfort airflow ( I don't know why this last setting exists...) and I don't understand why the exhaust sound is different and less expressive than in sport+ mode.... Does the sound only become sporty in sport+ mode??

Not just the first orders, still strangely not available in the US at all. Sigh...
We don't get the cool Wagon version either, but at least that makes sense for our market. The lack of ventilated seats is still baffling.
And BMWMB71, are those seats the Crystal Grey Leather? Or something else?

To this end, BRABUS integrates the new plug-and-play tuning module into the engine electronics of the three-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine. The auxiliary control unit provides the engine with newly calibrated mapping for injection and ignition while moderately increasing the boost pressure. After the installation, the engine pumps out an extra 32 kW / 43 HP (43 bhp) of power and puts an equally effective 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) of additional torque on tap.
302 kW / 410 HP (405 bhp) at 6,100 rpm and a peak torque of 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) at a low 3,700 rpm make the all-wheel-drive C-Class even more dynamic. The sedan equipped with BRABUS PowerXtra B30-410 upgrade accelerates from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.6 seconds. In conjunction with the elimination of the electronic speed limit included in the performance upgrade, the top speed increases from 250 auf 280 km/h (155 to 174 mph).
Even more significant than the improved performance is the even more superior sensation at the wheel in everyday driving resulting from the perfect interplay between the tuned six-cylinder and the seven-speed automatic transmission. The added power across the entire engine rev range is not only reflected in even more agile driving dynamics, but when employing a comparable driving style also in further reduced fuel consumption thanks to the further optimized in-gear acceleration.
The performance kit for the C 450 4MATIC is of course backed by the exemplary BRABUS Tuning Warranty of three years, up to 100,000 kilometers / 62,000 miles (see BRABUS Warranty Terms and Conditions, updated July 2013). Technology partner MOTUL supplies the perfect high-performance lubricants for the entire powertrain.
For further enhanced driving fun and more striking looks at the rear, BRABUS recommends the installation of the BRABUS quad sport exhaust aft of the production catalysts. The exhaust has four tailpipes and features an electronically controlled system of butterfly valves activated from the cockpit. In the “Coming Home” default setting, the C 450 is even more subdued than with the stock exhaust. In contrast, with the butterfly valves open, the six- cylinder twin-turbo sounds markedly sporty and powerful.
Of course, BRABUS offers not only powerful and highly resilient engine tuning for the Mercedes 4x4. The BRABUS designers developed tailor-made aerodynamic-enhancement components manufactured from high-grade PUR in OEM quality to give the car an even sportier appearance.
The BRABUS front spoiler attaches to the production bumper. Its central spoiler blade and the outer sections shaped like flaps from motor racing lend the vehicle an even more distinctive front. In addition, the component also reduces lift on the front axle, which further optimizes handling stability at high rates of speed.
The rear end is refined with the BRABUS rear diffuser, which provides the perfect backdrop for the four chrome-plated tailpipes of the BRABUS stainless-steel sport exhaust. The C 450 Sedan can be upgraded additionally with the BRABUS rear spoiler, which also comes in a variant made from naked carbon.
The BRABUS Monoblock S wheels, developed especially for the 4MATIC variant with a diameter of 19 inches, also play a crucial role in the thrilling BRABUS look. The alloy wheels feature five double spokes extending all the way to the outer flange. They are mounted in size 7.5Jx19 at the front and in size 8.5Jx19 on the rear axle. BRABUS selected tires of sizes 225/40 ZR 19 and 255/35 ZR 19 as optimal.
The interior of the C 450 4MATIC can also be customized to owner preferences in every detail. The product range offers a host of custom accessories such as aluminum pedals, high-quality floor mats or scuff plates with backlit BRABUS logo. The exclusive BRABUS fine leather interior appointments are made from especially soft and breathable leather and Alcantara. Like the especially classy BRABUS wood trim sets or the markedly sporty BRABUS carbon trim sets, they can be manufactured in a virtually endless variety of colors.
Dealer called. System still showing a build date of Jan 25, however, the car just rolled off the truck on their lot. I'm in the DC/Northern Virginia area where it just started snowing and won't stop until 18-30 inches are on the ground. Won't get to even see the car until next week sometime.
At least I don't have to make room for it yet in the snow....
