One of the complaints I heard the most about when doing my research on the W205 was how long it took for heat to come out of the vents. I've had my C450 for 3 weeks and I have to say the heat comes out incredibly fast - faster than any other car I've owned. I wonder if they changed anything in production or if my Canadian car has cold weather equipment that other markets don't...

I'm pretty sure tmoney didn't take offense and clearly read it as sarcasm. He named his car Ophelia (either basing it on Greek mythology or Shakespeare), cleaned his seats using a lanolin based product (Lanolin...like sheep's wool), and broke out a $1500 camera to take photos.
So just to clarify, tmoney, your car looks fresh and I full appreciate the way you care for it, but maybe naming your car something like Jamie Lynn, using Murphy's oil soap, and the 12MP camera on your phone does the trick too.

Why the hell do you care what his car is named, what he uses to clean the interior, and what the camera he takes pictures with costs anyway?

Any C450 owners put snows on? What did you run, staggered or square? Not sure what to do for next winter. I will be likely getting 18" after market rims, hopefully there will be more of a selection next winter. The tires now I'm not sure if 225 all around is best option.

I have a black one on order, but probably won't have it for 3 months.

Mine came from MB Burlington as well and has illuminated interior door panels (and door handles on the exterior).
Any chance yours is white Waleee and you live in south burlington? Guy 4-5 doors up from me has one in the driveway from MB Burlington and stole my thunder ;-)
Haven't seen another around town yet.

Mine is Tennorite Grey with red leather. My old C350 was white but thought I'd change it up a bit this time around.

Hey petvan - sorry for the delayed response. I'm in Georgetown, not Burlington, so it wasn't me that stole your thunder. So far I haven't seen another C450 in town but that wont last long.

I have only seen this one other white one around though I'm sure there are more. I really liked the Tennorite too and haven't seen one with Red interior. Expect its awesome.
I have to say I'm loving this car.

Quick one. When you lock this car, it doesn't appear to beep or chirp or otherwise make a sound? I wish it did and am wondering if this is a setting I can turn on?
Makes finding it in big parking lots tough ;-)

Yes, there is a setting for activating a beep when you lock the car. Oddly enough, there's no audio sound for unlocking

Hey Waleee , how do you like the red/tennorite grey combo now that you've had it a while . Any chance of a picture - i'm planning on getting c43 cabrio from Burlington next year and really liked that combo and maybe even a red roof !
Thanks in advance

Took delivery of my girlfriend's brand new C450 last night, and as we were driving home later that night, the check engine light came on. Is there a common problem that I am not aware of? Not the greatest way to start the ownership of a car!
Here is a decent shot I took while touring the dealership.

The "Check Engine Light" can appear for a variety of potential reasons, many of which are nothing to concerned about. The annoying thing about the CEL is that it's a light that appears with no information that tells you what the problem might be, if there really is a problem.
You might already be aware, but the most common and non-threatening reason that a CEL may appear is when your vehicle's gas cap is loose, missing, or simply not screwed on tight enough. That's the first thing you should check. Unscrew your gas cap, and re-screw it correctly and tightly until it clicks. After doing this, turn the vehicle on and off a couple of times, then maybe even take a car for a quick drive to see if the CEL is still on or disappears while driving -- or just check it out the next timer you drive it the next day or whenever. If it disappears shortly after doing this or even later that day or the next day, that indicates that the gas cap was likely the issue.
Also, I'm not sure where you're from or what the weather is like by you, but cold weather temperatures are known to cause more warning lights (like tire pressure and CEL) to appear, even when there is nothing wrong.
If the light doesn't simply disappear on its own or after fixing the gas cap, then you'll have to get it check out at your service facility. But since it's a brand new car, I doubt that there is anything seriously wrong with the car and it's safe to drive. Maybe there's just a small fuse blown or a sensor that needs to be reset.

Thanks for the detailed reply. We are from Montreal where the temperature is colder, and it seems to be related. I just checked with an OBD scanner and it's giving a P0128 error, coolant temperature below thermostat regulating temperature. Resetting doesn't make it go away so it's likely a faulty sensor.
