Tint
For you guys that tinted, do I need to go to MB for this? Called a tint guy and he said he won't touch AMG's due to door electronic complexity, but MB want 750 for a tint job which appears a bit like robbery to me?

I know that trick, and I've tried it a few times, but my problem is, I shouldn't have to do that, it should happen automatically as long as the car was last in sports plus mode. I just wanna know if I'm the only one having this issue, or if it is common

Mine never stays on S+, it always starts on C by default. I wondered the same thing a couple months ago but accepted it along with the shoddy mbrace app.

I can speak from personal experience that it only starts up in Comfort mode no matter what mode you drove in last whether it was 1 minute ago or 4hrs ago.
That's why I turn on the accessory power first, switch it to S+ then push to start. every time

When you say 20% of the time, you mean it starts up in Sports+ 20% of the time or did you mean that it starts up with a rumble and a crackle 20% of the time?
I can also account for the 20% of the time that it starts up with a rumble and crackle for the rare occasion that I forget to switch to S+ before starting the car.
I realized that the car always starts up louder if you have previously drove the car in the past hour or two. Louder than even a cold start.

Over the weekend, I took a trip from Philly to Atlantic City and halfway through the trip I encountered a 2015 Maserati Quadroporte S and I am surprised that our cars can hold up fairly well against it. The race from 60-125 was dead even but I just couldn't handle anything faster than that, I had 2 passengers and traffic had built up a bit but the dude in the masi just weaved through traffic going 145+. But the race from 45-125 quite fun tho! Being that our engines are very similar 3.0L turbocharged, only difference is that the masi is 404/406...We are in need of a tune!

Over $12K in options is "bare bones"? 
If I added the Driver + Packing Assist Package (a combined $3.5K in options) it would be pretty much fully loaded...
As I said above, I don't need or want the Driver Assistance Package -- mainly because I can drive the car myself, pace myself in traffic myself, hit the brakes myself, and keep the car in my lane myself. Also I don't see a need for the parking assist (although I mildly considered it), because -- you guessed it -- I can park the car myself. I literally can't stand people who back into parking spaces, and I refuse to do it myself because I'm not a redneck in a big Chevy truck who needs to prove his manhood over and over by backing into every parking spot I see...I can easily pull the car into and out of parking space myself (plus I didn't even use the backup camera on my test drive bc I can just turn around and look myself, so the surround camera seems like a surefire waste for me). Call me old fashioned, I guess.

As I said above, I don't need or want the Driver Assistance Package -- mainly because I can drive the car myself, pace myself in traffic myself, hit the brakes myself, and keep the car in my lane myself.
