C450 AMG Sport discussion only.
Thanks!]
Maybe up to 5% off. Check with Tim at Markham MB where I got my C450[/QUOTE]
The service techs seem to laugh at me as if I was crazy...took a drive with one...he only wants to let go of the wheel and see where the car drifts, but finally I made the request for him to put both hands on the wheel...we finally hit a sweeping left going at 70 mph, and it was evident he was always correcting the steering angle, and I pointed this out to him. At this point he did not say much. He stated that he need to check the wheel alignment. Car goes in the shop...and I wait....and wait....service manager comes back and say they are waiting for a call from MB for upgraded specs for the alignment because they are a small dealer and can not access the latest company updates....hmmmmmm....still waiting....my sales assoc goes back to discuss my car, the sales manager goes back to discuss my car....service manager goes back also...I am never told what they are discussing. Finally the service manager tells me that they are giving me loaner, they do not have the alignment specs....hmmmmmm???? You have to be kidding! So I leave the dealership and drive another C class MB....it drives the way a car should drive when returning home.
Any one else have this problem? It will not show up in city driving, but really shows up driving in the country side. I often wonder why there are no full tests of this car or even a comparison test with a BMW 340i, maybe there is a problem with these cars....and a test with the BMW, it would lose handily in the handling department if given a full test. Maybe MB is holding back as they have to furnish the cars.
I am frustrated as hell, as only having just over 800 miles on the car.
Any comments?
I have not experienced anything like the issue you describe. The steering has been accurate and direct and the vehicle handles wonderfully at highway (or any other) speed.
I hope your issue is nothing serious...
I ordered a C450 AMG back in December 2015 to be delivered in April 2016. While waiting, I came across the whole renaming of the 450 to the 43 AMG from the news about the SLC43. I emailed the sales manager to confirm whether this was true and he said it wasn't. Fast forward to today, another dealership had confirmed the C43 AMG sedan to be released in 2017. Now my question is: should I renegotiate the C450 AMG which they tell me will be delivered in a weeks time or cancel the lease and opt for the C43 AMG with the 9G transmission and other rebadging decals. If I will go ahead with the C450, the car should be priced as an outgoing model/last production year due to name change as well as different transmission. What complications will I face from my dealer under this scenario? Thanks for the advice in advance!
I think it will be up to you whether you need a car now or if you can wait.

Personally, the badging to me doesn't matter. I'm taking all the badges off anyways.
The transmission, 50/50. If they were putting in a dual clutch transmission, I would probably wait for that. 2 extra gears for slightly better fuel economy? Not worth it to me. I'm guessing the shift speeds would be a little quicker on the 9G as well but the 7G speeds didn't bother me.
Also, do you plan on keeping the car or is it just a lease? If you're keeping it, I would say get the 43. Lease, why wait, you will be getting out of it anyways, probably in time for the refresh.

I'm not saying the 9G isn't be a better transmission, I'm sure it is, that's progress.
I just don't feel it's worth $3-4K more (depending on your discount off MSRP) and some badges.
I'm just going to lease a C450, instead of purchasing as originally planned, and I'll buy a new car once the lease expires. Just sent my dealer a note, going to try to go in and see him this weekend.

Thanks for the comments. Yes I have turned off the driving aids. Lug bolts are tight. Car still in shop....no calls back from the dealership. Will wait until Friday and see if I get a call back. Sort of ticked that the service department, tried to Foo-Foo me off and there is something is not correct.
I just got done reading one new review of the car really praising the steering in the C450. Mine has none of the characteristics that they praise....I feel like I do know cars....owner of many, and also graduate of several driving schools...Bob Bondurant, and Skip Barber. The loaner C300 steers correctly; my C450 does not. I got to think that the power unit in the power steering system itself is not working correctly.

Sometimes, the landscape does truly change, new model announced, problems with the vehicle (ala Volkswagen, GM, etc) and they just really need to move product. Macro and local economic conditions can certainly impact that as well as silly traditional thinks like EOM/EOY targets..
A promo that was in place at the time of order and usually always be integrated into a later delivery sale. Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise. But a NEW promo in the market that wasn't in place at the time of order can ALSO be incorporated. If you can get a fleet discount from SOME connection you may have it can always be laid down as the ACE at the end of a negotiation. It's not money out of the dealer pocket it's coming from the importer.

I've read most of the posts on here and did some of my own research and a few concerns have come up I was hoping i could get a few replies to:
1) i've read several posts about a loud, intrusive droning noise I'm hoping this was the exception rather than a more widespread issue, are there other folks on here who have to live with this?
2) Is the road/wind noise relatively muted at a steady highway cruise? There are days where being dead tired on the commute back home I would just want some peace and quiet in comfort mode, and a little road isolation
3) There have been a few posts about acceleration issues while passing someone after having slowed down. is this a widespread occurence?
4) while I'm loving the designo brown saddle interior, looks like i can't get it with the black ash trim which I also love, is it possible to have the dealer order and install one post-purchase?
Again, I'm hoping these are all rare issues and I'm excited to join the C450 community! Thanks in advance.
