I emailed every dealer in my state in this manner, and only one took my up on the 16% off I was requesting (including incentives) and they happened to exceed my highest trade in value. Note your success will depend on how motivated the dealer is to move the car, which is a factor of how long they have had the vehicle, where they are with their sales goals (end of the month really helps), and how much other interest they currently have in the vehicle. Good luck!

I do not get into the tuning game, so I am not speaking from years of experience or anything, but is RENNtech serious with that $2,240.00 for only a +40hp gain?
I love their marketing verbiage as well: "up to an astonishing 402 HP and 454 lb/ft at the crank!". Astonishing? Really?
Seems AMR has THE tune for our car. Even if it isn't actually 106-116 hp improvement, the math is pretty clear.

I laughed out loud when my dealership tried to sell me this RENNtech tune for my C450...and an extra $300 for seat removal so they can get at the ECU.
$2,240 for only a 40 HP increase is just plain robbery.

From the looks of things, even that BMS piggyback is getting close to that at $375.

I'd seriously consider the BMS piggyback...bang for the buck it's the best deal out there for what it delivers. Problem is I don't hear much buzz out there pertaining to the BMS tune for the C450, and I've yet to see a dyno result either.

I think that is the problem right there. There are no consistent claimed output numbers and no published BMS dyno info. It is all a lot of hearsay at this point. Not to mention the difficulty some people are having with getting all of the connectors attached.

The JB had a strong Audi and BMW following. I was planning on an Audi s3 and was going to buy a JB1 for me and for my wife's Jetta. The same unit worked for both turbo 4s and had gains of 10-12% over stock.

I just found a pretty good deal on a dog seat protector on jalopnik. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019OFKASI...16%5Bb%7Cdeals
Once I get it I can tell for certain whether or not it is dog ****, but the diamond pattern looks good, it's black, and it was $23.

Opinions on a car with the superman combo? What I mean is, a car with Blue exterior, and black seats with red stitching and red seat belts. The car is exactly how I want the car equipped except for the superman combo bits. Thoughts on how it would look?

I'm not that fan of a brighter blue and red (i once saw an estoril blue F30 like mine... with coral red seats, and wood interior trim. it was the worst thing ever)

I have lunar blue with black interior and it looks awesome. Somewhat understated but tough and smooth ntl

I almost did exactly this. Changed to cardinal red at the last minute. No regrets.

yes, I think red stitching is standard and mine came with the red belts. I had tried to remove them, but the dealer couldn't figure out how to delete it from the order so we got them, and another 500$ off. I ended up liking them though, and one doesn't really notice them at all - not that it is a problem
