Finally got my car last Thursday! It's been great so far, delivery was smooth and I'm enjoying the many new features I didn't have on my BMW.
The car is surprisingly firm (even in Comfort) so I have my Individual settings set to Sport+ for powertrain, Sport for steering and Comfort for suspension, and transmission I always put in Manual. I'll give some more impressions later.

Congratulations! That is really Sharp! I hope you drive in happiness and great health!

The C450 looks unrecognizable without the Lighting Package. The package is definitely a must IMO. (also, I love how it adjusts itself upon startup)
I was also torn on adding the Night package plus, however, at the time the option was released my vehicle was already produced and in the processing center in Baltimore. I do have to say though, that I am glad i DID NOT get the night package on my white 450. I like having a diffuser that stands out and the chrome exhaust tips. Little things that sets it apart from non-S C-classes thats on the road. the Night package I feel mutes the sporty accents I would like to display on the car.
Here are some more recent pics I snapped of my car:

Yeah, that was my thinking... I wasn't big on the black exhaust tips. I find myself looking at the matte silver apron whenever I get into the car. The only thing that was really driving me to the Night Package was the tinted windows (and we all know the fate of the tinted windows in the US).
With that said, I still without a doubt, would get the Night Package on a black 450.
Does anyone have an image of what the standard light package with "LED daytime running lights" looks like during the day? The C450 I may purchase tomorrow does not have the upgraded light package and I'd like to see how this looks. Probably not that big of a deal but it's the only other feature I'd really like to have. Pics please???

"LED daytime running lights" are associated with all three types of lights (Halogen (standard), LED (Premium 2 Package), Dynamic LED (319 - Lighting Package).
Does the 450 that you are looking at have Premium 2 (Burmester Premium Surround Sound System, LED headlamps and fiber-optic LED taillamps)?

Thanks for the quick reply. No it does not have the Premium 2 Package. I've confirmed with the dealer that it does indeed have the base-level lighting package. Coming from a B8 S4 I love the look of LED daytime running lights. From my research it looks like the base level package does not have similar type lights, just an always on "xenon looking" LED daytime running lamp. Even the MBUSA website shows this in the image for the standard lights. Thoughts?

Yes, I don't know if there are LED bulbs behind a reflector or what, but the base lighting package DRL's seems to be very different. Note that that it doesn't list "with fiber optics" like the upgraded lights do.

Well your car does look gorgeous, but I'm still gonna go with the night package on white)) It's just to each his own kind of thing. I will agree with you on the lighting package though, that's an absolute must on this car.

Red Nappa interior? Struggling with that vs the stock black red with the,red seatbelts. How you liking it with white?

Yeah, going with the standard halogens will be a tough call. If you think that you will feel the slightest bit like you are missing something, I would hold off and get the car that you really want. If you will feel better in the long run saving some $$ and getting it as early as tomorrow, then I say press on

I agree. If you think you'll regret getting the base lighting system (which seems a shame on such a great car), I'd wait and get what you want. Take delivery tomorrow and regret it could be a costly mistake.
Hi everyone, new to the forums but not to this thread. I've been following this thread for a while. I've done some research on this car for a while and have been waiting to see it at a dealership but to my disappointment nothing in my area (Houston of all places) is carrying more than 1 or 2 at a time. I'm not sure how you guys are optioning out your cars (with the numbers) but I've optioned out a C450 on the MB website. I would like some feedback on this build.
I've found that the MB website doesn't take care of the redundancies and they leave redundant options on there (example: selecting the carbon fiber spoiler + spoiler AND mirrors will double charge). Please look over this build and let me know what y'all think (any additions or subtractions). I did not notice anything about the steering wheel on the website.
-Exterior
Polar white or Obsidian (haven't decided yet)
AMG 19" 5 spoke black wheels
Lighting package
Night package (not sure on this one yet, need feedback)
Panorama Roof
Carbon fiber spoiler and mirrors
-Interior
Designo Platinum nappa Leather
Performance Seats
Carbon Fiber Trim
Premium 2 package (not sure of the redundancy on this one)
Multimedia Package
HUD
Parking Assist
Driver Assist
-Extra
Trunk Tray
Wheel Locks
This all priced out at 72,890 on the MB website, which is crazy high compared to some of the builds I've seen in this forum.
Few questions on this:
Where is the steering wheel option?
Is this price negotiable (I've never built a car with options, usually just buy at dealership?)
Any feedback would be appreciated! Looking forward to hopefully making an order during November
I just put one on order with a Houston dealer. You can send me a private message if you like.

Slavko, for what it's worth I'm a fan of the night package as well. My build is Polar White and I wanted to make sure from day one that it included the full night package with black lip, diffuser and exhaust tips. I like the contrast of pure black and white all the way around including the panoramic roof. I was incredibly close to shelling out an extra $700 for the carbon fiber spoiler but eventually decided against it. I've seen some pics of a Polar White build with the night package and love the look. In fact, I would argue that the night package is as critical to a white build as it is to black. I'll be installing 35% tint on my windows first thing upon delivery to complete the look.
By the way I just found out that my build has gone into production and is scheduled for delivery on November 20th. Can't wait!
Picked up my 450 this afternoon (white on black). Has anyone tried removing the doors on theirs yet? I'm in a arid region of the US of A and I'm going for the off-road Jeep look. Any advice?

Seat quality better?
Thanks

Oh the cranberry red goes very well with the white exterior. The quality is also very good however it does seem to be getting dirty already with just 200miles driven. I just ordered some Wolfgang leather cleaner and conditioner to preserve the leather.
