Loving this thread!

Has anyone driven the car with the 18" and also with the 19" wheels? just wondering how much firmer the ride may or may not be with 19" wheels compared to 18" wheels.

Im also curious what you guys think factors more when it comes to ride firmness, side wall height (being less with larger rims), or run flat vs standard tires. I'm considering going with 19" wheels with all seasons non-runflat (same as Vipershade's, ExtremeContact DWS 06) and wondering how much firmer or not this will feel compared to the standard 18" with run flats...perhaps a wash?....

Hey guys, congrats on your amazing cars. Ive been reading about the c450 and it sounds like a blast to drive. So I was wondering if any of you know the part number for the two-tone silver/black rims for this car? Specifically the front rims that are smaller, as I am planning on ordering those 19" rims for my car next year lol. They look amazing imo.

The offset is different for the CLA, I have a CLA as well, they will fit, but look awkward. They do have the multi-spoke available on the CLA45, so they might eventually offer these for the CLA.

anyone else have this issue? quite nonsense if you ask me. i had to order it with the linden wood instead. but i think it looks better with the ash.
Yes, I ran into the same thing. I'm ordering designo black/white seats and wanted to get the open pore ash with them, but the dealer said they got an error submitting that to Mercedes saying the combination was not allowed. The German website doesn't allow it either, the US one does, but that thing is broken in many ways. The only confusing part is, I test-drove a C450 with that exact combination about a month ago in Sarasota, so maybe they allowed it on the earlier builds, but then stopped for some reason.

Nice move, considering your salesman can be reading this thread.

Has anyone put in an order in the past few weeks month? and what was the delivery timeframe from ORDER to TARGET delivery date? I'm getting discussions of 45 days to 120 days?? The latter makes me think it's coming from Germany - ON A RAFT!

Really depends on the options you're getting. I put in an order a couple of weeks ago, first it was supposed to be built in mid-December, but then the dealer found out that MB would be out of pano-roofs by that time, so they found me a car built the first week of December. Then MB said that they're out of parking packages for the remainder of the year, so my car got pushed to the end of January.

Yes, waiting for 3 months sucks, especially if you know that you can go and get the car from another dealer right now, but I'm in no rush and decided that getting the exact options I want is worth the wait. Plus, I'm getting $4000+ off with these guys.

This one:

The "7X23" represents the two tone, so A205-401-2200-7X23 is the 7.5" x 19 ET 44 (front) two tone. (The ET 33 is the C450 version of that front wheel).

This is what I’m looking at

C450
LB or Steel Grey
Linden Wood Interior
19” Multi-spoke wheels with Black
Lighting package
Mulit-media
Premium 2 - Lighting / Burmeister
Heated Seats
Parking Assist with Surround View and Front and Rear parking sensors
Standard m-brace
I got the sunshade and it seems to work pretty well, I haven't had a big need to use it yet, but its usually a hit when I show it to people.

If I had to list my options in order of how much I like (or use) them, the list would look like:

463 Head-Up Display $ 990
281 AMG Performance Steering Wheel $ 500
218 Rearview Camera $ 460
P02 Premium 2 Package $ 1,520
319 Lighting Package $ 800
605 19" AMG® Multi-Spoke Wheel - Titanium $ 850
413 Panorama Sunroof $ 1,480
320 Multimedia Package $ 2,230
997 Driver Assistance Package $ 2,250
P21 Air Balance Package $ 350
235 PARKTRONIC with Active Parking Assist $ 970
540 Power Rear-Window Sunshade $ 440
389 HANDS-FREE Access Package $ 250

(Minus the following color/trim/interior options):
H84 Silver Fiber Glass Trim - Matte $ 1,300
P63 designo Platinum White Performance Seat Package $ 6,400
792 Palladium Silver Metallic $720

I would; however, have to put the performance seats in the top three above.

I really like the HUD, it seems to work really well in my area and it's always on, so it has been well worth it's price (I doubt I will ever shut it off). The performance steering wheel reminds you why you brought the car every time you put your hands on it...

I have been getting good use of the rearview camera, but I would suggest the surround view camera which is light years better. The lighting package is well worth it's price... the lights look and work great (I would highly recommend this package). Prem2 is good, but its also a pre-req, so it has to be ahead of the lighting package.

I am definitely glad that I got the multi-spoke grey wheels. I seen the 20" version on an S-Class, and they looked amazing... I would have went black if they were solid black and also if they were matte black instead of gloss.

I like the other packages, but the ones I mentioned are the ones that really stand out.

How do you like the air balance package, is it worth the money? Do you use a fragrance or just ionizer?

Believe it or not, the air balance package is not too bad. It came with one fragrance called Freeside Mood and a sample pack of four fragrances: Nightlife Mood, Sports Mood, Downtown Mood, and Freeside Mood in small vials. I mainly got it for the ionizer (which seems to work pretty well), I think I can honestly say that this car has the least amount of dust, of any car that I have ever owned. You do; however, have to set it to the maximum setting to smell anything, which I have done and the default fragrance is pleasant enough to do this with. All-in-all, if you have allergies, pets, or just like a fresher smell, a lttle less dust, and don't mind about a third of your glove box looking like a little coffee maker (which someone actually told me), I would say for $350, it's worth it.

I like the commentary on the options. My order is still open for a few days according to my salesman. I have the P2 package, so I have the LED lighting. Is the only difference with the lighting package is it tracks around corners? Does the light intensity vary (as it was designed) or is that for Europe only? Will on-coming drivers think you have your high beams on? I am trying to decide to add the option or stay "as is" with the P2 package. Thanks

As mentioned earlier I finally ordered my C450.
iridium grey
Keyless go
Remote online
Rear camera
Leather seats black with red stitch
Technology pack
Amg performance steering wheel
Panoramic sunroof
Tinted black rear windows
Heated seats
Ash wood inserts
Burmester sound system
Amg wheels multi spokes 19' with black

Names of options may vary as I'm in Europe.
I have now to wait 2 months !!!!

I have one question about the amg steering wheel. The vendor couldn't determine whether the wheel comes with red stitches and red 12 o clock when we chose the black leather seats with red stitches. He said normally yes but I have a doubt. Anyone knows please ??

That's a good question, with the lighting package, we get the "moving" lights. The last time I did a remote start, I watched the lights and they move/adjust when the vehicle is started (it is kind of crazy to watch... I'll have to take some video while the lights are moving next time). We also get the automatic high beams that appear to be very intelligent. The brights will come on while there are no headlights (on coming) or tail lights in front of you. If they are on, they will immediately turn off if they sense either. And they are also smart enough to sense the amount of lights coming from other sources (street lights and houses etc.). The other thing that you will notice is that there is not just an off or on brightness, meaning when they come on, you will notice the light actually rise or move up and out, it's pretty cool.

So, I guess the question would be, how do the brights work with the LED lights that are part of P2 (without the lighting package). Can anyone help us with that?

Very nice build!

The red 12 o'clock is a C63S feature (not even available on the base C63), and I believe that the red stitching is the same. My stitching and 12 o'clock (with the designo Platinum White/Black interior) are both black.

Thank you, sounds good. I have the air balance package on my build (among tons of other stuff), because I like the idea of cleaner air and occasional fragrance, but I was wondering how practical/useful it was in reality.

Hi, the vendor told me there should be the same stitching as the seats and on my case they are black with red stitch. We have a doubt though and your answer makes it bigger.
You have red stitch on the seats too ?
If I can't have red stitch on AMG wheels I'll have to drop the option.
I also noticed the palets (paddles) are bigger on AMG wheels. That's great !

You don't say what kind of wheels they are or what size.

The trouble with fitting nono-OEM rims to the MY16 C450 is that the front offset is +33mm due to the fat 14" Bembo brakes up front. There are not many rims out there (currently) that fit the C450 because of this requirement.

The rear is fine, offset is +44 or +49mm so you've got more choices.

Ordering wheels with identical offsets as oem fitment doesn't mean the wheel will fit over a large caliper. Concave style rims like those pictured may require spacers because of inadequate spoke clearance. I learned this from numerous experiences with big Brembos .
