I don't understand how at "freeway" speeds a door could stay open 1/2 way.

One would think the force of the air rushing by the body of the car would keep it more or less in the closed position.

As far as the door opening on its own....... I am sure glad I have not had any of these type of issues.

This has been reported here before. It's a rare occurrence, but a serious electronic glitch. I don't remember seeing any solutions posted, but it seems to be a one time thing. If they ever figure it out, this could be yet another major recall.

I totally agree. The door may have "popped" open off it's door latch, but not halfway open at highway speeds. There is no mechanical means of physically swinging the door open on the W205 that I could find.

I'm sure this exact same scenario has been reported at least twice on this forum. I believe they were European cars, but it has happened before.

It may not make any sense at all, but this is not the first report of the driver's door physically opening on its own while the car was in motion.

I'm sure that if the door were to come off the latch - so it is obvious it is no longer shut, then it would "feel" like it was swinging open - as it would set your heart pounding.....

I do agree, though, that driving at speed would prevent the door from swinging wide open, on its own volition. More likely at very low speed around a sharp turn.

INSISTING your dealer change window runs and door seals may help. If really good at convincing, get the acoustic side glass (I did), will help my several hundred percent. Good luck. May need to try different dealers. Involve MBUSA. Managers.

Permanently? At specific speeds or weather conditions? If you crack open a window just a bit is the sound just the same?

Do you know if the wind noise issue has been fixed in MY2016 or 2017,2018?

What do you mean the keyless system is making the noise? I like to do 200 from Athens to Kardamili!

Same excessive wind noise issue as well. Noticed first drive home on highway, 45mph - 70mph only, driver-(left)-side near A pillar.
Service bulletins I found on this forum greatly helped resolve my complaint with the dealer. (see sticky at top of forum)
Issue was traced back to driver-side view mirror. Was told there was a wire that was interfering with a seal for the housing unit. They replaced the seal in the mirror and that resolved the noise without need to install acoustic glass, etc.
Car sounds great at ALL speeds now
