Leaking 'door breathers'

I have noticed a clear gel like lubricant leaking from the various points on the doors edges.

Its annoying when I wash my car and the next morning there is sticky residue down the bottom side skirts etc.

Tried cleaning the bottom runs of the door where it is seeping from but its extremely sticky.

I know its a lubricant of some type, but has been leaking for weeks...

Anyone experience anything similar? Ideas how to stop/clean effectively.

It is wax for corrosion protection.

Surely its not designed to run out of the holes all over the paint work, when I get look at both sides of my car, with the doors closed all I see is this dripping wax all down the sides

Perhaps it's melting due to hot weather😓?

I've got the pretty much the same thing. Although it seems to have slowed down a fair amount since when I first got the car. I would imagine it should be completely gone after another wash or two. I've had this with various other vehicles as well so nothing that concerns me but it is way more noticeable with a white car now!

TBF I have had this, to varying degree, on just about every car I've owned in the last 10 years. It is the wax sprayed on the inside of the doors. Usually, it just makes a mess around the drain holes, but on occasion it does leave a slimy trail (like Slugs, on a Dewey morning! )

It's pretty standard - some are worse than others, but I've had it on all the cars I've owned. Unfortunately on white paint it just stands out. I tend to use Shellite (oz term; Naptha in the US) for cleaning that up.

Personally I've never had that happen on any new car or used that I've had. I would take it to the dealer at the next scheduled service and ask them to fix it. However on the other hand our dealer gives free lifetime car washes so I'd probably never notice it.

Next scheduled service is about 10 months away for me hopefully it stops before then.

My BMW F30 did a similar thing and dripped from the bonnet at the front and down the headlights (stained one of them) - had it replaced with no explanation and the lock mechanism on the boot constantly leaked the same sort of stuff.. Previously to that, I hadn't experienced a car thats done that before.

Being warm/hot here since I got the car, I had a lot of the 'goo' for the first month and few washes, and now it's stopped. I'm pretty sure I've had this on other cars. Either way, no worries on it. Some heat of the summer will leach it out and it's ez enough to wash off.
