Really loud fan motor when turning vent fans on max?

Hi everybody, I just bought my C300 last week and today noticed that if I turn the vent fans on max (level 7) there is a very noticeable loud vibration at my feet (driver's side).

Does anybody else have this issue and do you think it's cause for concern? On level 6, the vibration is still there but not as scarily loud and vibrating. But on level 7 I felt like there was a an air compressor motor going under my feet - like the kind I would inflate an air mattress with.

Thanks for the data point. I am currently leaning towards living with this issue since I rarely need or want the fan on max - but that's because I live in Seattle. If I lived in a hotter climate like Texas or Arizona this would be a bigger problem... What do you guys think, worth bring to the dealer?

Hmm, can't say I recall this when I've had mine on max settings. I'll have to give it a try when I pick the car up from the dealership. I do have to say that there seems to big a rather large jump in air out between setting 6 and 7 in my car. Seems like it should be more of a subtle difference though at those levels.

I have this as well. I can feel it in the steering wheel and my passenger commented the other day he could feel it in the passenger floor. My dealer said it was normal.

I only use 7 to cool the car quickly. After that I tend to use 6 as I find the car's auto level a bit too low.

I tried this yesterday after getting my car back and in the max setting I didn't experience this issue at all. It was loud but nothing like an air compressor at my feet, etc.

For me it happens when i have it set to Auto and it goes up to 7 to cool down the cabin. I feel a sort of a vibration on the feet pedals.. Nothing crazy its just there. Might be the feet vents?

Does anyone here have problems with weak floor vents? Mine seem very weak, even on "7"

I just hear a significant wistle when the fan is on 7 and 3 or 4 vents (out of 6) are closed, but nothing like what you're describing. Nevertheless the wistle is quite annoying!
