Dust air filter, activated charcoal air filter...

In the 2015 maintenance menu, it specify to replace dust air filter every schedule A and a replace activated charcoal air filter every schedule B.

So my question is where is the dust air filter? Why are there two air filter for interior? I think I know where is the charcoal air filter. If it is still the same location as the old Mercedes C class, it would be at below the glove box.

After digging some more, it seem like the S class does have two interior air filter. One is behind the glove compartment. The other is below it. I am going to drop by the parts department and see if I can purchase a dust filter for C class. Plus, I think replacing dust filter every year seem excessive in California. Maybe if I live somewhere with sand storm, I would do that much more frequently.

Charcoal filter is accessed like in the W204 from the cabin under the glove compartment on the passenger side. The 2nd filter is located above the car battery. You can access it from under the hood by removing the passenger side plastic engine cover the hides the battery

I replaced the dust filter. It was as you stated by the battery. As I expected, it was only slightly dirty and really could use for another year. I replaced it anyways. I am sure I will forget about it a year down the road.

Since this is my wife's car, I am going to stick with Mercedes schedule on dust/charcoal filter schedule as documented. She is very picky about interior air quality.

is this the correct activated charcoal filter for the 2015 c300?

one review says that it doesnt fit 2015 c300, but part number seems to be a match?

Are you saying there is a filter on the passenger side above the battery?

I m only aware of two type of filters. The charcoal cabin filter behind/under the glove box and the two air filters on top of the engine.

Yes, there is a filter on the passenger side above the battery. Remove the cowl cover and you'll see it. No tools needed.

I did last fall to change the battery, there was nothing there LoL.

W204 2010 C300 is my car. I checked AllData under filters and they don't show or list anything for that location either.

Same for a w204 2010 c300? plastic cover is different than the one shown in the images.
