I just got my service A today and got the navi update to V5.1. Took 40 mins to update. Initially said my car doesn't get free updates and wanted to charge me $400

Anyone in the USA get 6.0? Taking my car in this Thursday, so annoyed they never ran the update, my car has been into the dealership at least 10 times.

And I don't know why some got 5.1 (like me) and others got 6.0. I guess I will be going back in the summer and requesting another nav update!

I had my 2016 in for a couple of minor issues and asked about available nav updates (5.1 currently installed).
New update on order. I'm guessing that will be 6.0. Should be here in a couple of days.

MBUSA says "MBUSA will reach out to Multi-Year Update Program customers when a map update is available for their vehicle." Mine was updated to version 5.1. MB never "reached out" to me. If fact, at first they said I didn't qualify.
Has anyone been notified by MB that map updates were available?

Just had my car in for the 10,000 mile service and no map update was installed. I'll follow up with the service manager this week and see what's going on.

I am from Europe and had mine delivered in October 2015 with "2015 (V6.0) Europe" and has been updated last week (on my own request) to "2015/2016 (V7.0) Europe".
But i guess the versions of The US and Europe are probaly not in sync.
If i would not have asked i doubt if i would have gotten it.

I just got 5.1 North America installed during Service A today. I had to request it, and the first service advisor I spoke with said there isn't an update available, and when I said I know there is he said "you don't need to update the maps, they will always be up to date" before then transferring me to Service who was equally uninterested in addressing the issue.
I went to a different service advisor and he confirmed the latest update they have is September 2015 which is v5.1 before taking care of the update during my Service A.

You have to have a good SA that's both knowledgeable and a customer advocate. I have pretty muck gone through all SAs in my dealer to find who I like. At MBLN I have Jessie who is great.

Yeah I agree with what others are saying. SA's at least the ones I have dealt with seem very disinterested in helping a customer.
When I went to get my service A and asked about the map update, my SA said oh are you sure you want to get it, it doesn't change that much info in the nav. I then said yes, I do and he responded with oh ok well it going to cost you $400 plus labor.
I said yeah except I won't be paying that because its free. He had no clue what I was talking about and I told him go look it up lol.

Finally I was told they did not have the most recent update and to check back this summer.
My C300 is now in for the wrist pin issue and wind noise. It's been two weeks and today I went in and was told to check back next Friday...they had to order more parts.
I'm already shopping for a replacement vehicle...probably a 2017 model, sometime this summer, and it won't be a Mercedes.

Had my car at the dealers yesterday for a map update from V3 to something newer, after being told that they had updated the maps to V7 I discovered when I collected the car it was still on V3. I was amazed how they can have my car all day and not manage to update the maps. Upon starting the car my iPhone told me I needed to download an app which turned out to be the Mercedes Me app, also after looking at the screens in the command a number of things have changed. I have a couple of questions which I hope one of you guys can answer.
How can I tell what version of firmware is in the command unit?
Is it possible for a W205 built in August 2014 to work with the Mercedes M app?
Also has any UK based command users got any newer map data than V3?

Maybe an important question. Did your car come with 3 years of free updates for the maps? That might be an issue.

So far I have seen the following.
I can now disable the touchpad
The traffic indicator has moved(little red car)
The time and distance to destination has moved
The setting of radio presets is different (much easier now)
Google street view is no longer supported
I will look for other changes when I go out later.
