I have AMG floor mats in my C300 so all you C450 guys can suck it. No way Mercedes designed high performance floor mats like these with no tangible change in performance. I pulled them out once to vacuum them and then I had the car dyno'd. Huge difference. Huge.

My wife is forcing me to de-badge the car when it arrives because everyone knows that hot chicks can't resist tearing off their tops and jumping onto the hood whenever they see an AMG badge.

I heard that if the badge is on a "real" amg, nearby hot chicks will spontaneously conceive your baby and said child will become the Immaculate Racer.

 

I finally just left the AMG performance mats in the garage. Chicks would tear off their clothes and throw themselves on the car at traffic lights. I got tired of constantly cleaning off all the boob prints. And worse.

 

It's a good thing you don't have a "Real AMG". The child support would bankrupt you within a year

 

I can't even imagine. Along with Wheel & Tire insurance the dealer sold me three years worth of a paternity lawyer on retainer. Four years if I went for the 19" wheels.

 

///AMG c43 is dead... It's now the //M 43

 

I was watching a German Video on the C43 and MB was there speaking and they stated that the C43/C450 is part of the AMG line because they are not like regular C-Classes. He also stated that the new C43's will come with the 9G trannies with their launch. It's clear to MB that over the years their AMG Sports models did not stand out so they have decided to turn the market to offer more AMG models to those that want an AMG with all the sport dynamics but do not want the fuel hungry, rear wheel drive monster C63. the New AMG lines are for those that want an AMG modified vehicle so they expect more sales than the current C63 so the engine of course can not be build by one man as that will slow down the sales and production of the C-Class vehicles . Is obvious that Mercedes was going to keep their same lines up of C-Class (2 regular, 1 stronger and 2 beast) but they realized that most people purchased the C300 models of vehicle for pure gas savings. The C350 and now the C450 sell slower and the C63 and C63s sell even slower than both.

It's been long spoken that the C350 has been compared to Audi, Lexus and BMW whereas all those other auto makers gave up powered models of their standard brand.

The C450 is to help MB stay in line with what other know about MB with the C350 Sport and by calling it the C450 AMG and adding all the AMG parts, the car separates itself from the C300 and C400 further and matching it more to the AMG C63.

The C43 will be used to sever the brand and the make up of the MB line up. So as to offer more AMG models to the market. There will always be the One Man, One Engine offered by AMG.

However take note that the New E43 has a whopping 401hp which is the same engine in the C450/C43 but it has a bigger turbo and further modified by AMG.

I say just debadge it, Mr. J. I would, but we like the sleeper-like C450 badge, though that - as the MB Enthusiast knows - is more representative nowadays of the expected output of a 4.5 V8 (boy do I wish it had one of those!! Dammit!!). But even the casual observer may think something's up since we've never had a 450 after the C.

Either way, we won't be seeing too many 450s on the road before long.

 

 

I just hope that this C43 stills approved for towing my bike, like the C450 was supposed to, because any AMG is, that would be my petty peeve. The rest I can't complain; I went to buy a C450 7G and it looks like I'll get a 9G tranny and some badges for the same price Not really into purism, although I get some may be unconfortable about this 43 affaire. I've chosen the C450 because i think it'll suit me just perfect for now.

I got mine rebadged by the dealership today. Only exception was that the doorsills were aftermarket since the C63 illuminated sills would be around $900.

Keep in mind though if anyone's considering to buy the AMG grille badge that the standard C63 (or any of the 63/65 models with a double louvre grille) will not fit the diamond grille. Only the AMG GTS one will actually fit.

Yeah I have the Biturbo on. I don't have the 4matic badge yet, but all I need to do is just order the CLA45 fender badges. I've heard rumors that AMG is going to be renaming their AWD system, so I'm not sure if I wanna order it yet lol

Yeah, I got my car when it first came out, and since C43 wasn't even announced until a few months ago, I didn't see a point in being a stickler to get them for free. Also took the mechanic several hours to get it just right apparently, but the adviser hooked me up on pricing

 

That included the brakes?

 

Just received delivery confirmaton for July the 29th. The deposit was made on April 22nd. They have given me about 10 days for any modification I wish to make. So 3 long months ahead..
