You sound like a uneducated tool. If you could read you would read that I stated it was getting lowered to complete the stance and look. Everyone on this thread hating needs to get a life. Everyone has a prefrence. I like aggressive stances. Plain and simple you can like yours stock and Boring and my opinion.
Nowhere in the couple of posts does it say you plan to lower the car, specifically.
Not that I care. Looks bad. There is always someone.

I personally understand the look you are trying achieve... Have you lowered the car yet? Can you post a pic of it now lowered, so maybe everyone else can understand.
I didn't like OEM set up because i didn't feel the car steady. It felt wobbly. With +1 size it feels steady. Exactly what i was looking for. As far as for the suspension, i don't mind if it will last 30k miles instead of 60k. I will return it at the end of the lease with maximum 20k miles on it. And i agree that lowering springs are bad. Coilovers are way to go if you want to be lower..

ET20 is not going to work. I think some here have settled on running a 8.5 with a ET30, maybe 35? Which probably gives the clearance for the brakes and suspension needed, but is pushing pretty far out the fender...running with the smaller tire probably allows the tire stretch and round the shoulders to compress within the fender under load and going in driveways at an angle, but this might be just a little too aggressive for some.
I still think the 450 would be best fit with a 19x8.0 ET32 with a 19x9.0 with a ET37 rear with the factory 225/255 combo. Just my 02!
This may not be big enough for some, but then all your really doing is taking away the 1/2 inch from the inside that no sees or cares about what's on the inside, so not really sure how to please your request, but I think a Mercedes-Benz is not a car you play with like you would a VW or a Honda, I think the wheels on a Mercedes should be an investment, not a purchase...you're spending top dollar on the car, why all of a sudden shop for cheap inexpensive wheels...which make the biggest change on the appearance of the car? Think of it as wearing a nice Hugo Boss suit and then with the jacket open you are wearing an Armani Xchange T-shirt

Thanks for your input. I do agree with you. I am on the look out for those wheels specs in a wheel that I like. I will ride factory until then. I continue to look forward to seeing the wheels the other 450 drivers put on their vehicles.

Just as a friendly reminder, HRE and Adv.1 can manufacture any of their wheel offerings in exactly the same specs as your OEM ones
NYSoiL - these have to be the best looking aftermarket wheels and fit I have seen. Especially on a black car. Nicely done.
I tried a Plasti Dip Metallic finish on my OEM wheels over the weekend and I have to say I'm pleased. I may do more metal flake and gloss, but I like getting rid of the OEM gloss black on the original wheels.
Pretty much - busy weekend, I went in Friday, we tossed a wheel onto the car, it didn't fit even with the spacer and I went on with my day.
Currently exploring other options with HRE at this time.
Welp.... After months of back and forth and time spent testing different options, I have finally returned my HRE Flow Form wheels.
Once fitment was confirmed and varied dramatically from what was specified when I ordered the wheels (as the distributor did not check with HRE for fitment) and tires. The cost was too great at this stage and for me to move forward so I felt it was best to cut my losses and move on.
I'll keep my eye out for other wheel options in the future but over the past 4 or so months I've been dealing with this I'm pretty burnt out on the whole thing.

Are you saying that the Flow Form wheels do fit now with the correct spacer, you just don't want them anymore?
I cannot confirm that they fit as I never received the "correct size and offset wheel" and any spacer.
What I'm saying is that the deviation from what was specified by the distributor from which I purchased them plus the tires I purchased from the same distributor, would mean that I would have to purchase a second set of tires.
Instead of taking back the tires that would no longer work and exchanging them, I would have to eat that cost and I found that to be unreasonable.

I'm sorry you experienced that with your distributor. I know the entire situation has left a sour taste in your mouth but in the distant future if you need anything at all in regards to aftermarket wheels I will take excellent care of you and ensure that there are zero mistakes.

Yeah - 4+ Months fighting this issue was far from how I wanted to spend my time and money.
Once I get all this finalized I'll start thinking about it again.
Looking to order a set of FF01's in RED for my C450. Like some of the posts have mentioned, HRE is saying 19x8.5 in the front with a 15mm spacer and 19x9.5 for the rear. Has anybody installed these with those specs and do you have any pics?

Thanks,
Yes the 19x9.5 will fit the rear ... as far as the front... well I can't say we ever got a wheel to fit the front of my car before I returned my HRE's.
Remember, a C450 has a completely different front spindle than the C400 which changes the offset and width requirements for the front. It's easy to find wheels that fit the C300/C400. Hence this thread looking for a workable combo for the C450.
I stress to everyone that it is not difficult to find wheels that fit the Mercedes C450 - All custom forged offerings from premium performance wheel companies like HRE, Adv.1, Vorsteiner, and Rotiform fit the car like a glove. Perfectly flush fitments, no need for body modifications, no rubbing. Period.

Any word whether the fore-mentioned companies will start mass producing wheels that will fit the 450?
Yea but we're clearly not looking to drop 6-7k for wheels on this car.
Make us a set of your flowform FF15 in the correct size.
There are some C450 owners that are and some C450 owners that are not. My point was to address the comments made that it isn't easy to find wheels for this car because that's misleading. An new or potential C450 owner can stumble upon this thread and it's ideal that he or she knows all the options.

Three to four years is a long time to own a car haha. If you opt for the right set of aftermarket wheels they hold their value really well and will only help towards the sale of the car. I've seen this be the case on the classifieds section here as well as other forums.
