C450 Ebay Exhaust Tips Review
Hey Folks,
Wanted to share my experience with a recent EBAY purchase of C450 style exhaust tips. FOUND HERE: http://www.ebay.com/itm/REAR-EXHAUST...VWvxTC&vxp=mtr
Price: $140 Shipped (Best offer was accepted after going back and forth)
Shipping: Fairly quick (5 days) considering shipping was from China
Fit: 8/10 - Certainly not OEM fit, but pretty good considering the price
Finish: 10/10 - This is obviously out of box, will follow up once some miles and the elements have been placed on them.
All in all a pretty solid purchase to change the look of the rear nicely.

That is correct. Took me about an hour to complete the swap for both sides. It's a straight forward, unscrew 2 screws and remove, but one of the brackets kept getting hung up. It's a fiddly job, but no brain power needed.

I agree Vic. And, you are just adding additional style and uniqueness, not trying to trick someone into thinking you have a C63. Why does it have to be OEM Mercedes or nothing?

Does anyone know if the front lip of the car bolts off or is it attached to the bumper?
I want to wrap mine black since i didnt get the night package and It would obviously be easier if i can wrap it detached from the bumper, otherwise it will be a PITA.
Thoughts?

Thanks!! Purchased them from mbparttrade@gmail.com (G. Konstantin). You can look him up on ebay by his email. I've purchased a lot of OEM products from him in the past for my CLA. Great person to deal with.
I got my CF OEM spoiler from him as well. Those tips and the diffuser ran me $790.00 plus shipping, totaling $860.00. It included the tips, diffuser, valence, and various other parts. The install took about 2 hours at the shop I go to.
He also has the AMG black tips available and the OEM CF diffuser. The OEM CF diffuser is pretty expensive though. I'll probably go aftermarket for that. He also has the European Instrument cluster for purchase. It Looks nice.

Unfortunately, they are not direct fit. The bumper had to be removed in order to install the tips. The valence, and diffuser had to be replaced in order to make the tips fit, however, they were included with the tips.

That's an interesting thought. Is it possible to position tips further out from the bumper. I have a night pack car and the tips just blend right in. My friend and I may swap, he has the silver lowers on his c450. They just screw onto the back of the muffler right? Is there an inch of play to push them out a bit?

Do you think you would be able to take a close up picture of the installed exhaust tip to see the fitment? Is there any rattle?
