Unhappy Urgent Help Please? Retrofit Command with Navi but no GPS signal

I have recently retrofit Comand 5.0 by third party and replace my Audio 20 but the GPS can't locate my car position? Where exactly should the GPS antenna be fitted? Is there any Diagram or installation manual for fitting GPS on W205 so that I can use the Map on Comand 5.0 properly?

THanks!

What W205 are we talking about?

Here is an example from a C400 (W205.066):

LEFT MIRROR

You need the exact W205 to tell exactly how many different part #70s (for example) there are.

RIGHT MIRROR

There is a lot more than just the parts that go into each mirror. If the wiring harness is incorrect, the antennas aren't going to connect to anything.

Wiring Harness

There are more than 100! part #120s for the C400, and most of them do not include GPS wiring.

Examples (without GPS):

Examples (with GPS):

These are not the only parts needed.

Viper, can you get the schematic showing a factory amp location for an Audio 20 car?

Sorry, took me a little while to figure out how the scroll capture works in SnagIt. Is this in the right ballpark?

(You will probably have to download the part number list (PNG), and bring it up in a photo viewer and zoom in).

Hi there, I just posted a similar thread, didn't see this one before i did so.

A few questions for you, where did you get the Comand head unit, and how much was it?

Are you in the U.S.?

Have you encountered any other issues besides the GPS? I heard that you couldnt use Comand navi because MB has to activate the navi, even if you have navi prewiring. I hope I'm wrong. Please continue to provide updates and pics, I would like to do the same as you!

Thanks. I am not in US, I am in HK. The third party installation has installed a GPS antenna on the Comand and it is working except a bit slow. I hope I can post something about how to dismount the unit to all for sharing. Thank youl.
