Article title should be: "The C300 makes more power at the wheels than expected - but still less than the advertised crank numbers and it still is just as slow as the acclaimed times it puts down"
It's just as slow as it's competitors and it's just as fast as it needs to be.
Article is dumb.

250bhp on rwd with traction off is certainly enough to have some fun and not too shabby for an efficiency based powerplant..
400 is always of course better
The transmission does a lot to numb the experience too..
the DCT would be more fun..

I've been boating around in S Classes for the past ten years. The 300 feels like a sports car to me. Not a dragster but plenty of low end grunt and very willing to be pushed.

My C450 originally came with the 18" black AMG wheels (now my designated Winter wheels)...the 19" silver AMG multispoke wheels I ended up buying on ebay were from a C63.
The mats I had bought for my old 2015...so I just carried them over to the C450, because I'm cheap!

Second, the only real size difference between the two wheels sets is the offset of the front wheels only...ET33 for the C63/C450 wheel...so only the front wheels stick out a bit more. The rear wheels share the same offset, ET52.

The few times I've driven the 2016 C300 I thought it was very peppy. I'm not sure if it's the weight or just the fact I can throw it around a little easier then my E. Overall definitely a lil speed demon when all things are considered.

First off, according to my Mercedes dealership, the 19" multispoke wheels for the C450 and the C63 share the same part numbers (I can't speak for the C63S wheels)...ending in 5400/6400. The 19" multispoke wheels for the C300 end in 1300/1400 (and are 1.5 lbs lighter per wheel/tire).
Second, the only real size difference between the two wheels sets is the offset of the front wheels only...ET33 for the C63/C450 wheel...so only the front wheels stick out a bit more. The rear wheels share the same offset, ET52.

I wonder how the rwd C300 would fare on the dyno. The 2.0T does have decent pep but sounds pretty unrefined and the transmission seems to get caught flatfooted.

Thanks man!
Could the other C63 rims fit on the C450?
These bad boys: http://www.caranddriver.com/news/201...-and-info-news
But without the red outline.
