ok to put AMG on c450 rear now?

c43 has the same engine, same hp, same torque, and it has amg on the rear. ok to put amg on c450 rear now?
of maybe not a good idea, amg cars have letter follows by 2 numbers not 3 numbers.

It's your car, you can do what you want, but why would you? It doesn't change anything about the car you have. It's not the badge that makes an AMG.

Also the C43, while pretty much the same car for the most part, has a different wheel torque bias and a different transmission than the C450.

2016 C450 AMG
Absolutely nothing wrong putting an "AMG" badge on the back of your C450, afterall...Mercedes-Benz themselves refers to the car as a "C450 AMG". Heck, the C450 even has AMG badges on the front fenders, and "AMG" displays all bright & proud on the center console when you start the car up! Keep in mind though the C450 is not considered a "true" AMG...it's AMG "modified", hence why the "C450" badge comes stock on the left side of the trunk lid.

The only things the C43 has over the C450 is an ever so slightly different wheel torque bias, a 9 sp transmission, and the option of a louder exhaust...that's it...same suspension, same motor on both cars. So many C450s in my area have and AMG badge in back, and my dealership even offered to slap one on as well when I purchased my car (for $75)...I declined and just ordered one on ebay and installed it myself. I like the way the trunk lid looks more balanced with a badge on each side. Technically speaking, putting an AMG badge on the right side of the trunk lid is just referring to the car as Mercedes does!

I will, in this specific instance, allow it.

To your point, is C45 AMG out of the question? I get the historical reference, but like 45.

What.......do mine first? How bout MASS45's, err, MASS450's? (Sorry 'bout that homie; had to see how it looked)

He gone!

My thought is that if there is a signature block on your engine then you can rock the AMG badge. That being said I removed mine.

I sort of jumped all over this poor guy who put an AMG badge on his otherwise debadged C300, along with a C450 grille and exhaust tips. His rationale was that his car had an AMG Sport appearance package.

With the C450 though the car clearly has everything that matters in common with the C43. I think the C450 should have an AMG decklid badge.

Past:2010 ML63 AMG, 2011 C63 AMG, 2011 E63 AMG, 2015 C400 4matic & 2014 CLS550 4matic. Now: 2017 C43
Remove the 0 from 450 and you'll have a C45... And confuse a lot of people! Lol. I have "4matic" on the right.. ;-)
It's your car, do what you want. I recall MB themselves used to put AMG on the back of some ML550s because they had the AMG package. I recall them doing it on the CLK 430s also...

Damn right! That's traditional AMG badging pre-M156 V8......old C43 was a 4.3 liter V8 and the 55s (E/S/CLS55) were supercharged 5.5s. Always matched displacement, and since 450 alludes to the equivalent of 4.5 "V8 power", why not?

But, gotta get my RennTECH tune 'fore I do the 45 badge; swap it out with your 4matic (not really; I just have a 450 on the left)......but only if they give me their blessing. Don't wanna look too ghetto-poserish.

Mercedes C63s AMG
I’m a firm believer in its your car so modify it to your liking. The car is listed as a C450 AMG.
I like changing it up personally. So I’d ride a few months clean/debadged and then maybe with the AMG badges. Who cares...as long as you’re happy.
