AMG Door Pins Installed!
I couldn't stand the cheap looking black door pins, so I went ahead and bought AMG door pin replicas on eBay for $30. I'm not sure if the seller still sells them but this is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/282359547247...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
It took about 2-3 weeks to come, but here is how it came.
Once opened, this is how it was supposed to look like:
Instead, it came like this lol
This is what it looks like:
Anyways, I used glass wipe and a long nosed plier to swap out the door pins
To swap them out, you simply need to put a rag or socks (rough cotton works the best, I ditched my glass wipe as it was way too silky and slippery) and turn counter-clockwise to loosen them.
Door pin off:
Then you simply screw the new one on. It may get tricky if you want to line up the AMG logo. I used plier to tighten them and twist to a point where I like them to be.
Here's what it looks like now:
Took me about 20 minutes to do all 4 sides. And no, you do not need to take off anything to swap the door pins out. When you do rear, access to door pin is limited due to stationary pillar window, but you have enough space to work around it.

I also went for the metallic door pins, but with no AMG logo (cuz my car is not an AMG)
I also installed speaker grills to add some "quality looks" to it. =v=

Im just struggling to understand why Mercedes would use cheap plastic door pins in the first place.
Does anyone know if they come standard with other models of cars?
