C300 Turbo Upgrade - Partner Needed
#226
What the meaning
The 1st round of results where great, we wanted to see what the turbo would do on an otherwise stock setup, no downpipe, no exhaust, etc. We gained about 100ft lbs and in some parts 75HP, but the peak numbers were limited by the stock downpipe holding boost back and indirectly top end power. The customer needed his car back, but he is ordering a downpipe and we'll get it back to AMR to see if we can fill in the upper RPMs better. If there is anyone in the CT, NY, MA, area that has a C300 with a good flowing exhaust and wants the turbo upgrade. We are fully capable and ready to do so, we just won't have the full #s until we finish the test with the downpipe installed.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I’m interested in the turbo upgrade
I have a 2015 c300 sedan and I’m getting ready to upgrade to the complete armytrix valvetronic exhaust and downpipe
I have the jb4 beta tuner installed currently but looking for more ..I’m in the Boston area and would like to offer my car as a test vehicle for the turbo upgrade
thanks

2010 C300 4MATIC........ 2011 C63 AMG.............. 2015 CLS400 4MATIC.....
So you're going from (CRANK!)
OEM: 255HP/273TQ
To
NEW: ~330HP/373TQ
Correct? If so, a tune already gets you to
~305HP/330TQ
So we're only looking at approximate gains of 25hp and 40tq with new turbos and a tune over tune?
Does not seem enough to me.

You can tap the plastic pipe for the nozzle. Same as you would with a metal pipe, just go slowly and don't overtighten the nozzle when you install it, use a little thread sealant, done deal.

I can't help but laugh that you actually tried to justify a C300 over C43 purchase based on "handling better" and "lighter". You will be so far back into the stone age that your car can turn on a dime but it wouldn't beat a corolla in a race - assuming it actually did handle better lol. I had a W205 C300 before, it sucks. I traded it in after a year for a much better car - It is the most basic, lacklustre car aside from the CLA250 & GLA250.
I haven't owned an MB vehicle for many years and it was only recently after seeing and being smitten by the C205 that I bought one. In my onion it is without doubt the best looking coupe since the 80's with the likes of the BMW 635 CSi or the equally gorgeous MB 500 SEC Coupe, the latter of which I was fortunate enough to have had the pleasure of owning. As a result, my MB hiatus has left me keen get up to speed with all that is current in the MB world and particularly with regard to the C205 / W205 models and learn from equally enthusiastic folks prepared to take the time to do this.
I love reading other peoples opinions and learning new facts etc., irrespective of whether their choice of engine is petrol or diesel (most are the latter in UK / Europe) or coupe, sedan or estate and thoroughly enjoy learning new stuff from the debates that are kindly hosted by 'MB World'.
Then I come across the odd obnoxious, petty ignoramus such as yourself whose facts are complete BS and I would actually cast doubt on anything they proffer on any forum. I am delighted for you if your personal preference is a C43, good for you and I am sure you worked hard to get it. Most comenable sir. So why cannot you extend the same courtesy to 'NardoSwiss' or any other 'true' enthusiast on this forum.
I will tell you why sir, because I suspect you don't even own an MB. You mention a 'Corolla'? Perhaps that is what you drive? Nothing wrong with that, Toyota are a great automotive company. Perhaps someone could be kind enough to provide this gentleman with details of where he can find the forum for Toyota Corolla enthusiasts??
