2015 C400 Is there emergency manuel lever for the fuel flap?
2015 C400 Is there emergency manuel lever for the fuel flap? I have undone most of the interior coverings and have not found a lever like in earlier models. Any chance someone has found this.

I tried that. When I push on the flap, there is a sound, but it does not open. I was hoping to get it open manually from the inside, by pushing some sort of lever. I just can't seem to find it, or it might not even be there.

You're probably going to have to try running out of petrol and getting AA to open it for you. Please try not to run out in a tunnel, the free tow areas on the highway are your best bet...

If you push too long the latch will click and lock again. Just try pushing firmly but very briefly whilst the car is unlocked.
Could be a faulty lock though - just take it to the dealer and get them to check it.

Same thing happened to me. It got so sticky that I had to use a credit card to pry the gas flap open. The flap was misaligned too; it stuck out at the top. The dealer replaced the flap. (If you have to refuel before you can get your car to the dealer, try a credit card or a suction cup. Of course, don't use anything metal.)

If you stick your hand up behind the trunk lining into the area of the latch, there's a lever on the outside of it that moves with the latch. It's not really intended to be a manual release but sometimes we can get jammed ones open that way.
Often times, they seize internally and won't turn by hand either, at that point the only real option is to force them open, try not to damage the paint. Let the dealer do it, worst case they destroy it and they replace your filler cap flap and everything.
