I also have the staggered 18inch wheels and decided to go with the staggered Pirelli Sotozeros. From what I read you can go 225-45-18 all around but the rear tires will stretch a little in the wider rim.

I chose to get new rims 8” on all four corners.

No tire stretching,on those wider rear rims, no potential rim or tire damage mounting and unmounting each season. No rebalancing. Cheaper change over each season.

I hear that, I was able to get a second set of the OEM 18” wheels from a member here. Those were in much better shape than mine. I’ll now use my old OEM wheels for the staggered pirellis. Never had dedicated snows before so pretty excited for it.

Haven’t installed mine yet. Using willtheyfit.com

Mine vs Yours:

Diameter
659.7mm 645.2mm
Circumference
2072.5mm 2027mm
Poke
56.6mm 61.6mm
Inset
146.6mm 141.6mm
Speedo error
0% 2.25%
Reading at 30mph
30mph 30.67mph
Reading at 60mph
60mph 61.35mph
Ride height gain
0mm -7.25mm
Arch gap loss
0mm -7.25mm

I’d probably try to keep the speedometer less than 1% off if possible....

thanks will go wit 225 45 18 setup. from willtheyfit.com my wheels will be 2mm closer to the suspension, it should be OK.
another questions some rims says good for summer, where others says winter. does that change anything?

BTW i am located in Montreal Quebec, our winter is cold.

Haven't run into rims specifically saying summer vs winter. Maybe someone else can comment.

Are the 'winter' ones stronger (steel maybe, instead of alloy) or more corrosion resistant against salt?

C300 4 Matic Estate
Hi all, first time posting. Just rehashing this thread. basic context i'm purchasing a 2018 C300 4matic estate and wanted to know if i can in fact run 225 45 18 all around. i have the opportunity to get a deal on 5 spoke AMG with runflats off a 2020 CLA 250 4 matic. do i absolutley have to get a staggered setup with 225 45 18 in the front and 245 40 18 in the back? thanks again and great community!

forgot to mention - these are for summer.

Search TireRack.com and see if 225 45 18 at all corners is an ok set up for your model. Their website should tell you if that config will work.

C300 4 Matic Estate
Ok thanks. so having checked both TireRack and Quattrotires (i'm in montreal Quebec). seems as though i get conflicting recommendations. on tirerack.com i get 2 options. 1. 225/50-17 which is my current winter setup and 2. 225/45-18 front and 245/40-18 back. On quattrotires i get these 2 options and a third which is 225/45-18 all around. sorry guys i'm a total newbie here. i've checked other threads and people seem to be running 225/45-18 all around.
