S205 (W205 wagon \ estate Airmatic front suspension wear
Anyone had issues with airmatic front suspension such as below (UK MOT \ annual road worthiness test) on S or W 205? This is a 2015 car and the test in 2019
- Nearside Front Lower Suspension arm ball joint has slight play (5.3.4 (a) (i))
- Offside Front Lower Suspension arm ball joint has slight play (5.3.4 (a) (i))

" I am wondering if wear from the airmatic or sag caused the ball joints to have an issue." - man, I don't know what experience you have had with C-Airmatic Sport Wagon or you have some Psychic Connection to the Cloud - or owned a US 2015 C450
Airmatic Agility suspensions are not the "new norm" for luxury and performance sedans/roadsters - and the tech and reliability is a whole five generations forward from mid-2000's S-Class/GL..
UK MOT is real intense/righteous as compared to any inspection anywhere here in the US - and the fall back on what the real situation is will be a experienced UK Indie or a UK Dealer (who acts like a judge anyway).
I "think" this UK C300 has Extended Mobility tires - again, I think - and with the stiff design of the sidewalls on this type of tire - yes, the mechanics of the suspension do get a harder thrashing - but a 2nd experienced UK tech opinion is worth something - Psychic Guess's are just that - Guess's

2016 S205 C350e Sport PP
I have a 2016 C350e estate with airmatic.
Getting those two suspension arms replaced this coming weekend because of wear. My car has 75,000 miles on it though,
Do you hear a loud knock going over speed bumps/ sleeping policemen?
I have been hearing it and assuming that I had hit the bump with my front bumper / undertray, but no, it's suspension wear.

It also causes stress especially in this case - if "old" tire pressures were used/set - versus "correct/new" tires pressures should be followed - which in the US models is found inside the Fuel Filler door.
Here in the US "old pressures" were about 38 PSI - and "new" presures are about 32-33

Car is gone now, not a great ownership experience so returned at end of PCP
