My ambient lights no longer flicker went starting. Hopefully, it also fixes the issue where audio cuts for a quick second went start/stop starts the car. (it didn't happen all the time but...)
I think it was my JL Fix 82, which has a 10 volt as minimum voltage requirement. Starting voltage would go down to 9.4volts on old battery.
Luckily my Helix V Twelve DSP can handle down to 6 volts.

If your aftermarket sound system cuts out briefly when at high volume and bass pumping, you might want to look into getting a 1 to 3 farad capacitor to store extra charge. Or installing 2nd battery in parallel works too in similar application.

Thanks. Looks like it was just an old battery.
When start/stop shuts of the engine (with music playing) the battery was having a hard time staying over 10.5 volts.
I guess my JL Audio fix 82 was losing power for a second while the car cranks. I monitored the voltage and lowest voltage drop was to 9.4 at restart.
Everything seems fine now. Still test driving. I also got a new voltage regulator just in case.
Not really worried, as the JL Fix 82 and OEM amp will be replaced by a Nav-TV Zen-M soon.
