Morning, really interesting, progress, have you any audio records with same song before and after? I cant believe that just stronger hw can impact on improving the audio sides. Thank you. Sono more burmester now after replacing the amplifier?

I haven't seen any battery drain issues with the sleep cycle. If you get the USB dongle + apk mentioned in my previous posts, any screen can mirror to the cluster.

Just got mine from cheerdriving and is a YH S618 also. Just did I fit test for now. It is a bit too big for my taste but I think if it sat closer to the dash it wouldn't look so bad. Then i would be able to live with it. But right now it looks unsightly.

Turns out I have a Harman unit so no audio lag for me watching YouTube. But I've yet to test audio quality. Will compare YouTube music via BT tomorrow.

Sometimes when I start the car it takes the screen 2-3 minutes to start playing the music from the flash drive. I can see the song on the screen but the sound takes a lot of time till it starts.
The anti-glare on the screen is absolutely awful. On sunny days, I can hardly see anything on the screen from the driver's POV.
The heat that comes from this thing is a lot.
It most definitely drains a bit from the battery because sometimes I noticed that I turned off the car for a couple of hours, come back and once i put the key in the car the screen immediately starts without any loading.
and more
I have to agree on the non existent anti glare. Not only that but even set to 100% brightness it is still not birght enough to battle glare. Anyone know if putting anti glare screen protector will help?

Weird, I don't think mine has that hazy issue.

One thing I had to do is toggle the "automatic brightness" option in the factory settings so that screen does not dim in daytime vs night time.

See #16 in the yeehung FAQ video, #2 post.

I will check thank you. I also downlaoded the KSW toolkit 3 ($15.99 for license) but my brightness is already set to max. The haze is from the film I have not removed since it is acting more like a matte effect. Less sharp reflection vs without the film. I think overall its just not bright. But most of thr time when there is no glare it it looks great. I am getting a samsung anti glare protector to see how it goes.

Have you played with the took kit? If so your thoughts?

By the way do you have 8.4 original screen and have this issue? The ntg screen is a shrunk side ways or is stretched tall. My EQ knobs are oval and my radio icons are rectangular not square.

I just found out this unit has the aux in already wired up. So you dont need to do the back of unit hack. This is not the same as usb aux. There is a 3.5mm female connector on the quad lock harness it comes with. Disconnect the 3.5 headset cable from the usb aux box and plug it directly to this input. Change media source to aux.

Now you do have to have aux input enabled through coding either local or remotely. Or buy a aux input enabler on amazon or mbito.

On another note. Upon comparing I learned the usb aux left and right are actually reversed using that youtube test. Aux input is correct and definitely sound better. Also if you have audio lag watching video this will eliminate that. I never had issue since my unit is by Harmon. Only Panasonic ones have lag. So you also no longer need to buy the DSP box from your seller.

3. No. Those OEM USB ports have different uses for the head unit. Plus you need one oem USB port for Android audio input.
here is where i put my gps so I didnt have to run wires in the dash.

Using Samsing screen protector for s11 ultra tablet. Cut to size. Its a little bit more bearable in situation when the sun hits my seat. Wish it could be better. But its not always like this so I can live with it for now. I may try a matte screen protector next time.

Without sun hitting my seat its very readable
