Mercedes Classic Boot Animation (file attached)

1. Format a USB drive to fat 32 .
2. Create OEM folder in the root directory of your USB stick
3. Copy both bootanimation.zip and splash.img files into the OEM folder. (splash.img is optional if you don't want one)
4. Plug in the USB drive to your Android display
5. Wait for confirmation of successful installation (You should see a message on the screen that say something like "Boot Animation Loaded")
6. Then unplug the USB drive.
7. Reboot screen.

This looks like a great improvement. I had the older style 12.3" Android 14 Screen. It was very slow to boot up. I wasn't thrilled with the sound quality and the quirkiness of the USB connection. I also couldn't get over the Fahrenheit climate temperature with a decimal and tenth place. It should be displayed as a whole number when in Fahrenheit. I returned it and went back to my wireless CarPlay adapter box with the original screen. With the MMI box, the sound comes through the MB Bluetooth with the feature to disable the phone link audio option. This makes CarPlay a display only over Wi-Fi and the audio comes through the OE Bluetooth connection.
Did this latest 12.3" screen fix the Climate display in Fahrenheit? Thanks

@benzdude how is the built in carplay/android auto on these units?
Any better then the Older Android 10/11 style units?
I always had an issue with audio lag until i switch to an independent Carlinkit Dongle.
