I have noticed 2 other issues:

1. The default video player is buggy and crashes often. I had the same player in my Android 10 screen and it had no issues. Maybe a different version. Looks.like it can be switched for another video app. I will try VLC or mx player.

2. The screen freezes on boot sometimes (on the OEM view) and touch screen doesn't respond. I have to press the media button (or radio, etc) on the center console to get it to respond again. Not sure what's happening, but not a big deal.

Yeah small issues, however, for that price tag you'd expect to atleast be able to boot it up without any issues. Hopefully mine gets delivered soon so I can test it out. How much days did you wait for yours to get delivered?

Hey again @benzdude

So I finally got mine delivered! Awesome! Would you mind answering a few questions since you already got your installed?

1. Did your music quality change or is it the same as the OEM screen?
2. I see in the installation video that there is a GPS antenna. Do I really need to poke cables across my glove box and place it near the front windshield? Doesn't the android already have a built in antenna?
3. Is it possible to connect the screen to my original USB sockets that are in the armrest compartment instead of placing them in the glove box?

Thanks in advance!

1. OEM music still the same. Android Auto (Tidal) is similar quality as oem, due to newer USB box.

2. You can put the GPS antenna anywhere you want, but it must have a clear view of the sky. Mine is on passenger side top corner. I used a wire guide with a rope to thread the cable behind the glove box. Then up and under the rubber door trim. Easy.

3. No. Those OEM USB ports have different uses for the head unit. Plus you need one oem USB port for Android audio input.

I am catching up on this slim device but the GPS on the older gen 12.3 was separate cable that you can route via windshield to top. Should be easy to move the cable from below glove box to side to windshield. Music on this( mine is roadtop 12.3) is better with DSP and my burmester sounds incredible.Yes I have my screen one of the USB running to glovebox from underneath the center console panel so I can access USB and upgrade to latest whenever I want or have wired carplay. Also the link above for software update is great for all androids made in last 2-3 years. The newer ones look like slimmer and brighter. But the older on like the one I have has been fantastic . I was thinking of doing the dual 12.3 that Ali express has. Those would be too cool.
Also the themes like this and others can be enabled by upgrading OS. I have BMW I8 Theme which is great as well. I have too many Mercedes to be bored with MBUX.

So after very long 5 hours I was able to install that thing. First impressions are not great so far tbh or maybe I just didn't get the hang of it.

1. When someone calls me, I answer and it automatically puts them on hold and I dont know why. I have to pick up my phone and remove the hold in order to talk to them.
2. Sometimes when I end the call the screen just stays as it is and its like I am still on a call.
3. How can I select if i want to listen to music via Bluetooth or my USB flash drive? In the OEM screen I could just go to media and select the playback I wanted. With this screen I am a bit lost.
4. The OEM screen seems off. The bottom part is not showing like the resolution is wrong

Hmmm that took longer than expected.

Hmmmm..... did you try another phone, did you update to the latest version of the software for the screen? Maybe they had bug fixes/patches pending?

Hopefully you figure it out since you spent 5 hours installing, I would hate it if you have to remove it to replace it with something else but if you do need another suggestion, there is this thing: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ml#post9159289

TBH most of the time spent was moving the wires around. I think it just needs getting used to. My biggest concern right now is the music. I want to be able to skip, replay, rewind my music from the USB flashdrive using the Android screen instead of having to go back to the OEM screen media
