OH NO : ( not on the new C-Class as well. MB, what are you doing how is it that it is still not resolved since the issue came out in early 2020 or late 2019

Yep, following in the footsteps of the one-sixty-lemon (167) the 206 is having problems with 48v systems and check engine lights. Check the production date on the door jamb vin sticker, many of these have been sitting for as long as 7 months which can't be good for the battery. On another note, it's been mentioned here before, never buy a first model year of any vehicle.

That being said, OP's C 200 isn't available in the USA and therefore I am not sure if OP already had the vehicle for a couple of months now. OP, I guess you are the only one that can answer that question for us, do you mind please?

Drive it more but for long distances preferably for hours just make sure the cooling and all are good don't do short drives because that can cause strain to the battery. Charging the 12V battery will allow the voltage converter to charge the 48V battery.

I would think letting a car/battery sitting still for 7 months would definitely give you a dead battery. Even if it is not totally dead, the battery would have suffered enough internal damage (due to severe discharging) that no matter how much service/prep work be done before delivery, it will just die sooner than later.
The only way is to replace the battery by the dealer before delivery to the customer.
But there is warranty and so the customer is still good. He just has to deal with the hassle of visiting the dealer.

Hmmm I would think in theory sport mode helps charge it faster as the engine revs higher in idle making the alternator work harder to charge the 12V and then the 12V uses the voltage converter to charge the 48V but it doesn't sound like it is true in reality because the alternator should be capped at certain workload regardless of the mode. Well if that is the case I don't think the mode matters. The way to test this is to bring up "workshop menu" basically the menu that you confirm service has been completed and monitor the amps and voltage there I don't know if the older methods shared on the forums works with the W206 but you can try (however, I don't know if it shows the 48V battery, try anyways) Alternatively, you could just use the "Engine Data" screen in the infotainment where it will show the battery voltage, take note of the resting voltage and then the voltage once the vehicle has started (however this only shows the 12V battery voltage and not 48V battery) other than that you could measure the 48V battery yourself (I don't recommend) or somehow get Xentry to read out the information.

Sounds ;like you're not aware that the 48 volt hybrid system that's now in the road going MBs that you think is so terrible has been used in the Formula 1 cars for a number of years with Lewis Hamilton winning the championship with this same configuration multiple times. Cars that sit for 7 months without being driven or hooked up to a battery charger will have electrical issues.

Currently sitting in a parking lot waiting for a tow truck for this very same issue. I drive the GLE 450, less than a year old. This is the second time this has happened. First time was about 3 months after purchase. The first time it happened, i was unable to start the car. Dealership claimed they could not replicate the problem and that it was likely just a software update error.
This time I was actually driving and the car essentially cut off and advised me to stop the engine immediately. Then I got a warning that the coolant was too hot.

No attack, the point is that Formula 1 has no relation at all to the mass market garbage MB puts out. Now that you have informed the thread about Formula 1, please explain its relevance to a mass market garbage system that is MB’s 48V junk?
