Rear Camera popping out?
I was following my C300e yesterday, I noticed when my fiancé was slowing down to a junction or traffic light, the rear camera in the boot kept popping in and out.
After a certain speed it went back in. I asked her when we got back home if the infotainment screen did anything unusual and she said no.
Anyone else noticed their car doing the same?

yes - the backup camera is under a little trapdoor in the trunk, occasionally I’ve noticed under certain conditions the 365 camera will activate while in traffic at or a light, causing the rear camera to pop out.

Same Issue
I have the same issue and it drives me nuts. I left my 2024 GLE 350 at the dealer all day for them to confirm the camera comes out at low speeds and that Mercedes says it’s supposed to do that. Not a fan and hope they come up with a fix.

I have a 2024 GLA 250 and the rear camera popping out affects this model too. I contacted the dealer and got the same spiel as everyone else in this thread, it’s normal behaviour. Normal or not it is very annoying to hear this noise every time you slow down. The service manager actually said just turn up the radio volume… give me a break. I’ll be contacting MB directly to voice my concern.

Is there a blue P indicating Partronic (TM) with Active Parking Assist on the driver's info screen when this happens? I wish it were less active on my EQE anyways. Or better yet, just let me disable it since I've never used it, not even once.

I think that’s the auto park system showing an available parking space. The arrow indicates which side it’s on.
