Hey Guys!

I've been lurking around here for a while and I just joined and I'm picking up a 2012 CLS63TT this coming Saturday. I'm not new to the Mercedes-Benz realm of things. I've owned quite a few MB's over the years and this is the 3rd AMG in the family. I just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks to all the members for all of the insight that you guys provide!!

Planning on any mods?

 

I'm planning on a tune of some sort. I've been reading about the various tunes and trying to become more knowledgable about them. I'm also going to do the KW sleeve kit and new rims. I'm sure I'll add some things as time goes on.

What's everybody's take on the resonator delete? I'm coming from a GTR that was unbelievably loud and I wanna make this pretty loud too.

That very similar to my set up. Here is my post on res delete. I love it and replaced with straight pipes.
And please...don't ask about tuners...you'll start a riot...

I've read a decent amount about the various tuners it's just making up my mind. I've driven a renntech C63, S65, and S600 and I have been pleased by the results. I think my main concern is the exhaust for now. I want to have the perfect setup. This isn't my daily driver so I'm not too concerned with drone etc...

On the topic of tuning, I just heard back from Kleemann. I was quite happy with them the last time. It will be either them or Renntech in my case.

Haha I've actually never looked it up before. Years ago my buddy's dad owned a lemonade trailer and we used to soaked pineapples and lemons in vodka and eat them and I had a few too many and I called it a peenapple. Needless to say I have yet to live it down.

 

No drone at all. I drive this everyday...even carpool in it...haha...under 2500 RPMs its a non issue.

Working on that perfect set up now. I just bought Renntech's Intercooler kit and will most likely go with their downpipes as well. With my Renntech tune, my car is getting real close to the car they built that is posting crazy numbers.
Also looking at their 100% LSD and transmission...
Hopefully they will come out with headers too.

Had to go with the P40SC in satin black. Saw them live on Tina "TBolts" Audi last weekend at the Targa Trophy rally....love 'em. Looks great on Vic's car too.
