almost 16k miles. I'm gonna call around for best price. How much were you charged and what all is involved?

Thanks!

I went for the 20k service and paid $800.
I asked what this included and they were very vague,
when asked direct questions, they replied.
rotate tires ? -no- ,
add fluids ? -no, thats extra-
balance wheels ? -no-

what they did was a simple oil change, check hoses and belts and see if anyting was missing or fell off lately.

turbotom, Why did you agree to pay 800 for the service, I know I have an annoying service is 8000 miles overdue, but I refuse to pay 1K for simple oil changes/fluid fill ups.

I recently paid $500 for it. What was done? oil chg, wiper blades allegedly changed (did not need to be) $44, washer fluid (ditto) $3. But hey, the stealer checked the car out thorougly. But, hey, it's under full warranty.
But....if you don't do the mandatory services, you can void applicable parts of warranty. So.....it is what it is.

Do we service these cars at 16k or 20k ?
$500 for oil change is crazy. My 911 was just over $200

The 06 CLS 55 has single use drain plugs. I doubt if Jiffy Lube got the TSB on this yet.

I up the $500 oil change to about $750 to include the stealer wheel alignment every 5K miles. For some reason I sleep better at night.

What you should be more concerned with perhaps...how will you get your warranty reinstated after you've voided it?

find yourself a certified MB repair shop to do your oil change and look it over.. as long as you show that it was taken on schedule to a certified shop your warranty will not be voided.. I just took mine for an oil change and look over and i paid $125

I believe Centurion means if you don't get your car properly serviced, your warrenty will be voided. Getting rid of the service overdue warning is easy, just do a search on this board and you will find it by getting into the service menu.

I just had my Service D done and it cost me 500 bucks. It was only like 100 for the parts and 400 for the labor. 87 bucks an hour isn't cheap that's for damn sure.

I read about this in the other thread you created. That's really a shame that this would happen at a Merc dealer.

Absolutely correct!!! Lotta stealership for a lotta BS!!! But if you don't do it, your warranty may not be honored. I think that called a shake-down in other more sordid businesses.......
