Alcantara Steering Wheel, where to buy?
My cls63 alcantara STW is getting pretty well worn. It's really the only major flaw on this car that I picked up preowned.
Anyone know where to get a replacement? I've seen posts in the past, but wondering if anyone bought one from one of these guys.
Also considering maybe just getting a leather wrapped wheel since Alcantara might just get worn again. Then again, maybe previous owner had sweaty palms. I don't.

They can make the P30 wheel. I asked him how much for one that matches my P30 wheel, and I believe he said $450 with core exchange (you send them your old one, otherwise $600 more).
I decided to have one made that has more aggressive sport styling, thicker, but also with the perforated Alcantara wrapped at the 9 and 3 position like our OEM wheels have. That one is $947 shipped (tax, shipping, everything) with core exchange (I send my old wheel to them).
Anyway, I haven't seen any of their wheels in person, I'm doing this on faith, sight unseen. I'll post pics when I get it.
Tell your SA you want to talk to your MB region guy next time he's in the dealership. I wouldn't let up on that. It would be different if it cost $200 to replace it on my own.
cmergonoto, you should just contact them and see if they can make what you want.

Send me a PM if you would like to purchase it. Thanks!
Anyway, $947 which included tax and shipping. I had the dealer install it, as I was going there anyway for check engine light and new cup holder. They charged $223 to install, but independent shops are probably much cheaper.
If I had the dealer install the new Mercedes CLS63 P30 wheel, including tax and installation, it would have been around $3200.

The quality of the work is good. The leather is good quality. The alcantara is different, however. It's lighter in color, and the perforations are smaller. It still looks really good to me, and I was concerned because I was buying this sight unseen. Actually, my SA at the dealer said "it's beautiful". He's probably blowing smoke up my ***, but he's the one that ordered me the OEM MB P30 wheel from Germany, which I subsequently canceled. You just need to know the alcantara is not going to match the original one. You can probably tell that from the pics. You can't see the perforations in the pics, but they are there. They are small.
The guy that got his CLS55 wrecked by the van, should pull his steering wheel off, though, I'm realizing those things are worth money.
I must admit, I bought gloves. That should help the Alcantara last longer, but I probably look like a mafia guy driving down the street in this black beast wearing black gloves.
I think for me, it worked out. I'm just wondering if I should have gone with a flat bottom, like the black series. You can do that.
I took the car in for a check engine light this morning (was a camshaft sensor), cup holder peeling, and the steering wheel swap. Three things. They did all things today, one day.
I heard it only takes about one hour to swap the wheel, unless you trigger the airbag sensor in the process, then you need an MB computer to reset the sensor.
