on the 605N in CA, an excursion hits a road gator pushes it into my lane, i try to avoid it but it pretty much covered the whole lane, as i jump into the carpool lane to avoid it, it hits the right corner of my bumper. freaking sucks.

Damn, I feel your pain!!! I have a spare black 55 front bumper of you're interested. I'm in Huntington Beach if you want it. It's not in the best shape but it's definitely an improvement over what you have now.

I think it's the strips of tire material that shreds off of truck tires. I hate those things.
I also hate trucks that carry loads of sand and gravel.

Tell me about it!

I once got a pulled over for passing a truck that was spitting rocks all over my old C55. When I stomped on it The blues came on so fast from an undercover cop. The cop said "I've never seen a car walk away that fast". LOL. 3 cops looked at my car, asked if I had been drinking. And then let me go. made for a great story at the bar later that night.

To the OP. Glad you are alright, Cars can be fixed. I'm sure you will be up and running soon .

thanks man, i too hate the dirt that comes from truck's, im 2 windshields in from them! (one on my CLS and one on my truck, I just stay away from them now. That road gator was pretty scary, it was a whole truck tire, i was surprised that it didn't do more damage.

Tough luck. Had that happen to me on my bike once (extra scary). Better that it broke the bumper rather than the working parts.

Original estimate was $3700, car went into the shop last week, updated estimate $7453!!! WHOA! if this were any other car it would have been done with. I was thinking they would just replace the bumper, interior bumper parts, and a fog light. After pulling off the bumper it seems we need a new radiator, new oil cooler, lower engine shield, new rt headlight among other things. well i guess thats what insurance is for. should have her back by monday.
