@bbirdwell didn't realize you were right down the road (I35) . Hello from Austin. My wife and I were just down in your neck of the woods exploring the breweries in Boerne in the CLS 55.

Haha cool to see my thread bringing people together
@bbirdwell I will, but unfortunately not anytime soon. My girlfriend caught (long) covid almost 3 years ago and is still recovering from it (also lost her job because of it). In other words, no far journeys for us right now

Long term health issues after getting sick with the Covid virus. It can happen to anyone, everytime you get sick. So please stay safe!

[edit]
Unfortunately, i have a small coolant leak. One of the hardlines was rubbing against a metal mount (of the AC line), its situated directly under the crank pulley. I will probably cut the hardline and connect it with a piece of EPDM coolant hose, unless someone else has a better solution

I measured it, 20mm OD for the pipe. I bought some 19mm ID EPDM hose. If I have enough energy, I will take a look later tonight. Also still need to buy some G11

Fix applied with double pants and with my old winter jacket in the cold garage. I removed the fan to make room and triple-double checked if my angle grinder wouldnt cut anything else before I went to town with it.
This is the culprit, the mount for the AC line. My radiator is missing the hooks for the hardlines, so I just left it hanging. I mounted the AC line a bif different so it cannot interfere with the hardline again.
Cut the damaged bit out and used EPDM coolant hose with good jubilee clips
The damaged part
And bought a small supply of G11 from MPM OIl (3x 5 liters).

Over the many years I have had to bundle up with so many clothes I looked like the 3 year old after its mother is done dressing it and arms end up being are straight out from all the clothes. Glad you got it sorted.

On to the new (recurring) issue. I shouldve listened to @UncleBenz55 and go for MB OE rocker cover gasket . So I will need to do that for the 3rd time, but will combine it with the oil filler neck (as I didnt knew it had a rubber seal which is also leaking) once the weather will be a little bit better.

@bbirdwell Haha
In the Netherlands right now; during the day its about 37 degrees and during the night about 28 degrees. Good for IAT's but bad for grip (especially if you have summer tyres like me hehe)

Small update, bought gloss black hubcaps. I would figure they would look better than the MB caps on my black AMG wheels.
The AMG ones look cheap and will not be used.
Seems I was right Even with the dirty state my car is in

They are on sale, but havent received a good offer yet.
I will keep the CLS wheels no matter what as they keep their value. Im still looking for another set, but it has low prio.

Replaced the rubber cap as per this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ommet-cap.html
Always cool to see that things like rubber caps can be AMG specific and then also have the logo stamped on them.

And went a step further with the intake modifications. I bought 2 new hoses and shortened them, so they can direct incoming air as much as possible to the stacks, but also allowing room around the stacks to allow for more air (in theory)
Hose in place without the velocity stack
Result is exactly as I had in mind, noice!

Repeat the process on the other side
Limited space here due to the power steering reservoir and various hoses
Hose in place
Now including the velocity stack
And an overview shot

And finally used my Dragy for the first time. And with some nice result, my 100-200km/u went down from 9.7 to 9.3 seconds there is still much room for improvement, I still have to mount the upgrade intercooler.
