What are your best times at the drag strip?

he did go back and mention that he meant to type 104 instead of 114 for the trap speed. but still, a 12.87@104 is still absolutely ridiculous IMO

Maybe the moderators will delete all of this nonsense and actually keep the thread relevant.
All unconfirmed runs should be deleted, otherwise it is basically a kill story.

2013 Chevy 427 Torch Red
This was my first time with any car. Not to bad, imo, wasn't really sure what to expect. Track was Sacramento Raceway, temp around 75.
My best time
Reaction - .711, horrible, I know
60' - 2.245
330' - 5.873
1/8 - 8.855
1/8 MPH - 83.908
1000 - 11.395
E.T. - 13.517
MPH - 108.80
So if I wouldn't have had such a bad reaction time, my other runs were around .25, I would have been close to 13.00
Car
2002 C32, 100,000 miles
Mods
Code 3 Pulley
Code 3 intake
Code 3 Heat Exchanger
CM30 pump

Hey newz, that's k&n's, quaife and a few "classified" tweaks made by a genius Master Mercedes Mechanic/AMG fanatic with 40 years experience with Mercedes Benz/AMG vehicles..Call it stock or modified or call it a frickin aardvaark, bottom line is it is another cool little ride in my stable.![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)

When we all go to Byron, Great Lakes or Morrocco, we ALL know (Jerry, Jake , Vic , Wayne etc) who is running what and what mods and what times?? Why is it so hard for him to post a slip???

Black on Black stock ' 03 C32
I haven't been to the strip, but I did get my hands on a Beltronics Vector FX2.
It reported a 13.18 QM at 102.3, a 0-60 of 4.82 sec, and 0-100 of 10.73 It also said HP=321.
From what I have read here and other sites, RWHP is about 80% of engine HP, so 321 is 80% of 400 HP, that doesn't seem right, unless I got lucky and bought a car that already had mods to it. However, I seriously doubt that since it was a CPO at the time.
So, as far as I know, my car is bone stock, it probably even has the factory plugs in it. All I've done to it since I got it at 60K miles is replace all the air filters and fuel filter with MB original parts, (Purolator and Bosch, respectively) and it now has 102K miles on it. I use 93 octane (always), the temp was about 50F and it was done at sea level ( practically all of Florida is at sea level.) Rear tires are PS2's.
There were two of us in the car at the time, and between the two of us our fat asses are damn close to 500 lbs.
The full size Pirelli PZero is still in the trunk, and it looks like the factory issue too.
I have compared the info to the posts on Dragtimes.com, and my numbers are similar to other C32's listed as stock.
Is the info from the FX2 to be taken seriously?
If not, I understand, only time slips are "official", but it was cool.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

![](http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/ww237/t1n0t1n0/C32-Stock-RearWheelHP-091220.jpg)
As you can tell from the max speed being just a little over the quarter speed, I think my friend started to ease off after 100MPH, which coincidentally was near the quarter distance, because if the car was still accelerating through the quarter mark, when he let off it would have overshot the quarter final speed by more than just 1.4 MPH, wouldn't it? If not, then from 10.73 sec to 13.18 sec, a time difference of 1.45 sec, it only accelerated another 3.7 MPH (100 to 103.7)?
What happened was that we were going to do a 0-60 but he just kept going. I didn't give a ****, so it turned into a 0-100. It wasn't until afterwards when we started looking at the 0-60 info did we realize that the unit had also recorded the quarter. I think he let off right after 100, which in these cars happens to coincide very close to the quarter. However, I doubt the difference would be any more than a few hundredths of a second anyway.
I'll try to talk him into doing another one some other day to make sure he doesn't let off until 120 or so to be sure, but as we are doing this on public street at night, we can't really do it too many times
First of all, I don't want to stress the car too much until I get the tranny fluid changed, which is most likely the original fluid.
Second reason is, I can't do it myself, as my license can't take that hit, but he can because he's a po-po, which is convenient.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Next time I'll let him do it alone and remove the spare (that's not cheating is it?)
I had read a few pages to see if anyone had used one of these units to get info, and I didn't see it. I also saw how serious you guys are about people posting bull5h1t info ( I agree), so I understand if you don't consider this valid.
Long post with a lot of buried questions, I know, but the real Q's are:
1) Is the Beltronics FX2 legit?
2) Can I truthfully say my car does 0-60 in 4.82, 0-100 in 10.73 and the quarter in 13.18?
3) Is removing the spare tire for the next run considered cheating for a "stock" run?

Finally was able to take the C32 to my local drag strip. This was my best run...
R/T : .329
I1: 2.063
I2: ---
I3: 9.042 (77.456MPH)
E.T.: 14.040 (99.976MPH)
Second best run w/ better R/T...
R/T : .101
I1: 1.999
I2: ---
I3: 9.025 (76.884MPH)
E.T.: 14.064 (98.486MPH)
Was kind of disappointed. Thought she would run better times with my modifications. There was a decent head wind slowing us all down (20+MPH), and 5000+ft above sea level. Around 80F outside. Do you think I'm still running slow considering the head wind, and altitude?
