Black on Black stock ' 03 C32
That's the opening lines from 'Red Barchetta' by Rush...
most stock C32 AMG's do low 13's high 12's, and the C55 has just a little more power, so you should do the same if not a fraction better.
However, the 5.5 engine is a little heavier...
look at my post where we did a 0-100, and kinda coasted to the 1/4 @13.18 @ 103MPH. We didn't know the device could actually calculate the quarter, so my friend let off on the gas after 100...If he'd kept on the gas through 100, it's a guess that we would've done a 12.9 maybe, which is about average for a c32 AMG.
However, that data is from a Vector inertia computer, not a quarter mile track. Even so, it jives with all of the quarter times I've seen from actual track times.
I will tell you that outside temp makes a noticeable impact: when it's under 50 degrees F outside, I can get under 5 sec 0-60. (4.8, 4.9 all day long) if its 80+ outside, I can't do any better than 5.2 0-60.

But bak to the topic I just ran my best times ever (have some bolt-on mods now + DR's). Can I post for comparison sake?

I ran a 13.1 in mine with a tune, deleted secondaries and 19" wheels.
FYI the 5.5's engine is about 20 pounds heavier than the the c32's v6.

The fastest I could eek out last night was a 13.8 @103 at the track. DA was a little over 2700 though. Maybe that is why. I'm fairly dissappointed as I was hoping for 13.0 to 13.5. My wife however did hear a few people give the car good comments on the sideline.

Here's the weather pulled from WUnderground charts from 10pm for Noble, OK. It's somewhat approximated because they are small line graphs.
Temperature: 78*
DewPoint: 65*
Altimeter: ~3.025
Wind was non-existent.
I did get decent traction and had my tires at 30lbs in the rear
It was muggy as all get out, but I think that's dew point. With a DA of 2700, when you use the numbers on NHRA's website, it would be corrected to 13.38 @ 106.81. I wouldn't ever tell anyone that I was talking to though because it sounds retarded.
To give you an idea on times, a Mustang GT with at least exhaust was running a 13.9+ and I ran next to a 5.7 Camaro that ran a 14.1. It was a very slow night at the track. The camaro should have been low 13's and the Mustangs should be mid/high 13's stock. This isn't the best track either for prep. As a sideline to that comment, I am happy with my 60' times with street tires.
Here's what my ticket looks like:
R/T: .594 (any suggestions on launching an auto would help because i use to cut .0 and .1 sec r/t's with a manual)
60': 2.136
330: 5.930
1/8: 8.995 MPH: 79.98
1000: 11.623
1/4: 13.819 MPH 103.31
Temperature: 78*
DewPoint: 65*
Altimeter: ~3.025

I just have to throw in....I vote for no 'Device' 1/4 mile times. Mean nothing, IMO. I've seen antecdotal evidence when they are close, but not usually. If any times listed are not actually on a 1/4 mile strip don't even list it or at least note where it came from.

I'm surprized nobody has tried this and got into the 12's, E55 guys are running 16 inch wheels with slicks, Wonder what a stockish C55 will do with slicks and 16 inch rims?

Once you put on some slicks you will understand why I said don't put your hopes up to high.

I have my slicks on; I just never took it to the track. All I know is that with the slicks I can floor it in 1st gear at WOT and it hooks up without burning out and no lag shifting into second. With any other regular tire I could only give it about 50% throttle in 1st and had to ease into second...I'm sure thats good for at least .3 seconds in the quarter?
