C55 AMG vs Modified CLK55 AMG

Tonight I had an opportunity to run with stock C55 AMG, which is 2 months old, which has about 4k miles. A well settled car. We had total of 6 pulls and we concluded that the acceleration is eventually same. C55 AMG is lighter but my car has more hp with heavier equipment such as HRE 19s with tires. PSS9 and so forth.

The first run. High way roll. 50mph-10mph both in S mode.
This one I walked away from it.

The second run. speedway roll. 30mph-90mph in S mode.
this was about the same.

The third one, C55 jumped on me and the gap was about 1/3of the car.
Then I started to catch up slowly.

The 4th one, it was stop light drag style, we gently let the car accel for about a sec to avoid the traction issue. when we stopmed on the pedal, my car started to widen the gap.

The 5th one, this one C55 killed me. we were in S mode still. The gap was maintained. My transmission churped but no complain here b/c both has same tranmission.

The 6th one, in M mode, this one I pulled away way harder than any of previous runs.

All the runs were done with ESP on. When I drove my friend's car.
The steering was smaller, thicker and heavier than mine and gave me a tight feeling around corner, which I really liked.
Overall, C55 is an amazing piece of machine. It's very fast and light.
I felt like I was in total control.
Even though I was able to pull away, I was very very impressed with it's combination of acceleration and light weight.

Props to Mercedes and AMG. Man.. I like this car more than E55.

For the money I have spend of performance tuning, I really should have gone for S/C.. I am kicking myself. But I love NA motors.

I wish you all C55 onwers to be proud of what you have beucase I think, along with SLK350&55, Mercedes is finally selling some quality NA motor cars.

Thanks for the respect. It seems hard to come by from some inflated egos around here. You would have probaby ended up doing everything you have done after the blower, so why not just go ahead and do the blower? Food for thought.

Because I do not want to see anything other than AMG stuff when I open the hood. Also I like NA motors more than S/C engines. Might do a boring out work after cam and ecu.
