correct me if i'm wrong but i was under the impression that our exhaust systems were good enough that aftermarket exhaust systems do not add much in terms of performance...the only change is the sound of the exhaust

also...i think brabus makes exhausts for the c32 and c55 if i'm not mistaken

hi, the price is about 1200 shipped. the exhaust is not really true dual, it is just a muffler w/ dual tips (83mm dual round or dual 90x70mm oval) and a pipe, which you weld on (in place of after cutting off the amg one). genechien i think you are right aftermarket exhaust mufflers or catbacks don't offer much performance gain, if any at all. i bought the exhaust knowing this, and wanting a tip-style change, something different than everyone else's amg, and a more agressive tone that could not be produced just by removing resonator. the sound tone is changed, not just sheer volume, from c32. removing the resonator does make it sound nice, but i like how the eisenmann race has the ability to be relatively quiet around town but really scream when you get on it. when the car is warmed up, the exhaust can be very livable and at idle it even sounds stock from inside (you can't really hear it at all) but near redline it is very very loud. eisenmann told me that the backpressure was dropped 0.5psi which was the threshold for retaining torque while freeing up some flow, but don't really expect much of a gain at all. if you get eisenmann race, you are getting it for the sound and visual aspects only.

in retrospect, $1200 could probably have been better spent. i'd rather put that money towards headers, which do have performance benefit. if you get the evosport headers, the temps are cooler too because of the ceramic coating. if you want good value for sound plus some power gain, keep stock muffler, remove resonator, and remove the rear 2ndary cats (should not produce a CEL light because there is no O2 sensor after it, only before it).

i am not sure if brabus makes one c32 specific - i do not see it on their catalog (tho i might have outdated one). pricing would be about the same, $1200 for muffler, and brabus is very quiet. i got race eisenmann for reason, and was pleasantly surprised that you can somewhat control the volume around town.

KompressorKev, very nice car you have there!

Do you have any pictures of your car I can see. Especially with the Eisenmann exhaust? I really like how those hid foglights look. how much did those run you?

thanks, i will try to get some pics up, and i will post them in the c32 picture thread. i don't have many pics straight up of the eisenmann, since it's not all that special, just dual 83mm round tips, but i have a few with the hid fogs...however, they appear a little bit more blue in the pictures than they do in real life. i'll try to get some up soon.

only eisemann and carlsson rs makes specific exhaust for the C32. supersprint works on all V6s.

i see on supersprint's website that there's different part numbers for C32 exhaust vs. normal v6 exhausts on w203? the one i'm referring to, supersprint lists a really nice looking 120x80mm oval tips exhaust 844227, which is only listed on c32. the c320 exhaust with the same tips is listed as 843327, and there are other options listed like 843307, 843367, and 843368. for the same exhaust, the part numbers are different b/t c32 and c320. but yeah carlsson does make one for c32 specific, but quad tips are expensive!
