C55 19" Need a straight and clear answer - please

Need true C55 owner experience.

I did not think I have got a straight answer that will give me comfort to replace my stock 18" wheels to 19".

My wish is simple, I do not want any modifications and do not want any possible rubbing issues. I want the tires to be of minimal width

Please help , provide me the precise F and R tires specifications for 19" wheels on the C55.

Currently, I have stock 18" rims
F225 , R 255 PS/2

Many thanks

I LOVE YOU

Almost there, but excuse my stupidness ( I am one of those people here do not have much experience changing wheels and tires very often ), do you also imply:
1. no rubbing issues for me because I won't lower the spring?
2. do I need to use lower springs because I use 19" rims?

Has ride quality dropped significantly for larger rims and wider tires?

with the PSS9 suspension, I think the ride quality is about the same... maybe a tad bit stiffer. No compliants here.

I know of 4 W203's with 235/265 that rubbed. Both had conservative off-sets too.

so it may rub. each car is different. But it is very easy to fix. buy the wheels then worry about rubbing after that.

i recall you dont drive too quickly so I doubt you need much to fix the rubbing. if you track the car it get a little harder to solve.

I daily drive ( and street race almost all the times ) on very bumpy winding hill roads up and down as well as high way which I speed to about 180kmh occasionally. How bad is the rubbing ? I don't plan to fix anything :p

I had 19's 235/265 and if I had 1 or more people in the back, I'd have rubbing on the drivers side. I have Vogtland springs.

IMO If you have bumpy/rough streets, you may regret 19's. Ride quality drops but more importantly, you may end up bending a few wheels.

The question is not "will 19's rub" because the answer is NO - your question should be what is the right offset to make them not rub? That's why I ordered HRE. They make them specifically for your car. They know the exact offset to ensure they will not rub.

Thanks all. I have got my answer.
Without spending some time and effort, 19" will rub.
I ride on bumpy hill roads daily and have no major issues to stay with 18" 225/255. I just think 19" look sportier and my rear stock rims scratched a bit and I might renew all of them after my C55's two year birthday.
We probably dont have HRE... and I dont trust these workshops here, they are rip off shops or know nothing. Guess what, I probably replace them with W204 C63 AMG 's new 18" rims

As long as you are having the correct offset than u will be fine.
However, your shocks must be stiff enough inorder not to rub too( if u are slamming the car).

I am currently in Hong Kong right now, which I might be able to help you to order wheels through the states.
PM me...if u need help.
