you can run the stock spring pads in the rear when changing to RENNTech springs. I changed mine to the thinnest spring pads in the rear because I want to have a more even look. Stock pads depending on the car ranges from #2 to #4. C32 used #2 pads, the C240/320 non sport used #4, etc.

I have a set of Renntechs on my car for a while but i took them off.... If you going to have a car for a daily driving, i would not suggest renntechs. They are a very stiff spring and you will feel every little bump. If you live in the city such as boston or NYC, leave your stock suspension setup. You will have to put a #1 pad in the rear to even out the look or else the back will look higher and not even. Good luck!

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with Renntech springs. Everyone has there own taste. Some can bare the stiff ride, some want a more softer ride. I just didnt like the stiff ride that the springs gave me. If I were you, try the renntech springs, they are suppose to be the best on the market. I would go eibach. I had them on my C class. They were very similar to stock and was able to eliminate the gaps.
You should be able to run 235/35/18 and 265/30/18 in the rears if you wanted to. Shouldn't be a problem.....
I run a Toyo T1-R 245/40/17 on the front of mine with the H&R springs which are identical in height to the Renntechs in the front. The tire just barely clears the strut and barely clears the fender - but no rubbing.
I have also seen someone run a tire a little too wide in the front and it looked like it cleared but one day on a particular turn it rubbed the fender and puckered it out requiring expensive bodywork to repair.
