Go to the dealer, That happened to my C55 (passenger) before and they only replaced the (passenger) bulb... However, Make sure ask them to replace both sides with new bulbs.... Not selling ur car?

thanks guys for the info.

I used 8000k bulbs so the dealer wont be able to replace those....

well, I just popped the oem bulbs back on (4300k) and it seems like it doesnt flicker anymore....

but if it still does..I'll bring it to the dealer and have it fixed.!

derrick

you probably did not remember I was the first reported this problem on my C55 to this group. The flickering started in a less frequent basis to a more frequent basis. As it got worse and worse, it will be a combination of flickerings plus one of the headlamps went off and back on again within a fraction of a second.

Based on the inpection, MB determined that the root cause is a central circuitry board which is for management of signals from various eletronic devices.

On my service record, two fixes were applied, as written:

EXTERIOR LIGHTS CHECK (AFTER QUICK TEST)
(RIGHT SIDE HEADLAMP SOMETIMES OFF)

XENON HEADLIGHT ON RIGHT REPLACE

SIGNAL ACQUISITION AND ACTUATION MODULE IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT, LEFT REPLACE (AFTER CHECK)

( Right side for us here is driver side )

The reason they also replaced one of the headlamps, they said because as a result of the signal module malfunction, it was possible that the flickerings could have caused the increased on/off of the headlamp.

Please ensure you will pay attention to the severity of the on/off , as this is really bad to make other road drivers in front think that we were blinking our lights to them. Must fix quick as I heard many people on the roads of USA have guns.
