interesting race there...
however 360iti...im more interested by ur comment....
ive got the V8 S4 4.2 ...
and at sea level this past december i raced a stock C32....
off the line i pulled about 1.5 cars on the C32, but by 140km/h the c32 left me for dead and kept opening up the gap....
and this was at sea level where the NA V8 is at its peak....
have u guys with the C32's had many runs against the V8 S4's there in the US??
would be keen to hear ur experiences...
thanks.

how is the C32 on the track when compared to the S4....
i see a lotta C55 vs S4 on the track tests, but not many C32??
any views here guys??
a stock US spec C32 understeer like a snow-plow (Euro spec ain't that much better either). It's probably a little slower than the B6-B7 S4 on tracks with lots of turns. stock vs stock of course.
some people here with C32 and some suspension upgrades runs better than M3s, but experience on track also matters.
on surface streets, freeway speed, etc the S4's 4wd doesn't help much.
p.s. just got to say this, but I can finally squeal my tires off the line again!! the intercooler pump problem is finally fixed.

thanks Frank....
UNDERTSEER????
wow .... i would think the C32 would oversteer.....
they r RWD right??
yeah there r some guys here in SA with some nice mods to the kompressor on their C32's and they really fly.....and sound glorious at the same time as well :-)
thanks for the info though...

couple reasons: 1. the supercharger on top of the engine adds weight to the front. 2. the suspension AMG setup is intended to understeer mainly because the spring rate is very stiff. Changing the springs will help this dramatically.
with this car's power you can power-oversteer coming out of a corner, but I'm not that brave because in order to do that you'll have to turn the ESP off.

i guess understeer is easier to correct than oversteer....
once i get used to a track, ive found that i get better lap times with my ESP switch off.....
but then again, quattro is a whole lot more forgiving if i make a mistake than a RWD would be.....
thanks Frank...
interesting stuff learnt today

yip, quattro gives us the slight advantage in that we can floor it that few split seconds earlier when coming out of a corner and we dont have to watch or control our accelerator pedal.....
but down the straights.....the RWD cars catch us up
... and I aim to get the handling sorted on my C32 to allow it.

What jody raced against was 2001/2002 S4. The generation before yours.
In your case, I wouldn't bet my money racing against you stock vs stock
