Question about 19" rims??

Before the moderators get here and scream at you for not using the search function.................most wheels for the C class(I assume that's what you are looking for?) are 35mm or there abouts. It will somewhat depend on which brakes you have as to whether you will need spacers of not. The '05 & '06 Sport Sedans have slightly larger calipers that the others. That's why we ask what car you are specifically looking for info on. Good luck, and promise to use the search function first next time.

28 - 30 offset up front will ensure that you clear the front calipers without spacers and if you decide to add coilovers, you are more likely to clear the perch and/or spring without rubbing issues. The downside is that the wheel will be pushed out more, so if you are running 8.5" width or higher, you may rub on the fender and need to get it rolled and/or shaved.

backspacing may be a bigger problem than offset. the spokes of the wheel have to sweep away from center and then come back in to meet outer rim- in order to clear the big calipers. that's why every 30 et rim will not work.
if you get 8.5 inch fronts then et of 30 is perfect. rear et should be 35 or a bit higher is running 9.5 inch wide.

Yeah the newer cars (not only the w203, but some Acura's, Lexus, V-spec Cadillac, etc) are almost forcing people into custom wheels, as many "off the shelf" wheels will not clear without spacers and such.

yep i've been struggling with this for my mitsu 3000 gt vr4s since 2000 when i bought my 1st one. those are worse d/t need for 45-48mm et and again big calipers in front. very few aftermarket wheels would fit.

Correct, the good thing is there are companies like WORK that have reasonably priced custom made multipiece wheels (I know everyone doesnt want to spend 4k wheels alone! lol)
