C32 AMG Factory RS Edition???

I found this on Ebay:

"This awesome C32 AMG is the rare and sought after RS edition. This model comes with the increased 395 hp, 0-60 in 4.0 sec RS engine performance package."

Seems like a car modified by Carlsson and the owner just got badge happy on it. Claiming it to be a factory modification is the mistake. Probably doesn't have the full "CK32 RS" modification, but what ever modification it has, the owner probably thought it was "worthy" of the "RS" badging.

What a lame scam artist.

I thought it had a polka dot rear valence piece, but on closer inspection it's actually a swiss cheese rear bumper valence. They took a great car and ruined it. RS whatever.

Nothing on it is Carlsson.

you think someone who put weird vents on the fender and badges and replica LM6 would spent on the Carlsson CK32 RS performance kit that retailed for $15,950?? even tho I love Carlsson, but no one in their right mind would spent on that when EVOsport and RENNtech offers the same for much much less.

LOL, no offense, but either the owner was stupid or the used car dealer folks that's selling it are stupid.

I don't understand advertising a car that is heavily modified and not explaining the mods. How did it get to 395 hp and is it legit?

Presumably the dealer is used to selling stock Buicks and this thing is really throwing them off!

there is actually a website (i forgot the URL) where you can order any letters you want for reletively cheap; but their recommendation is to put like C32AP for the "A-Pod" edition... not completely lie to try and sell a car...lol

I must admit, even though it is a scam, he did almost make it look like it can come from the factory like that with the RS badges in the right places.

Mercedes is gone physically, but still in my heart.
I'm so tempted to call in and tell them they got scammed, unless they're the ones scamming in which case I'd let them hear it.

Looks like some cheese slicers with double sided tape. Have to get the imaginary air to past through some imaginary ducts.

It is unfortunate that they do no elaborate on the engine modification. They sure like to mention the components of the suspension rather than state how the engine achieve the HP increase. Probably just looked up "C32 RS" on the internet and figured, "Hey, the car says 'RS'... So does the one on the Carlsson website and it says it has 395HP!" And of course, if it has the badges, it must be so, right?

I will have to go by and take a look at this. This dealer is about 10 miles from my house and has a horible reputation for selling junk. Lots and lots of Porsches bought at auctions in FL end up here.

Nice looking side gills!!! If the in fact is no such thing as an RS, someone spent a lot of time making it look like there was. Even the gauge cluster has an RS logo!

What should I ask the saleperson first????

Ask if it is a special edition AMG version that was made rally racing. If they say no, press on and insist that "RS" means "Rally Sport" and you looked it up online.

If they do sound knowledgeable, ask more details on the engine modifications. The detail for the suspension is there, but not the engine.

It is easy to get 400hp with a chip and pulley. Derestricted would be the elimination of the 155mph speed limiter and is part of the ECU(chip) modification.

I stopped by yesterday and took a look at this car and in typical fashion, no sales people to be found!

Nothing special except that none of the photos show the damage to the frt bumper. Looks like the Impact strip on the passenger side will need to be replaced and for some reason the after market projector lamps do not line up well with the hood.

The little side louvers are just double sticky taped to the fender and do nothing. Lots and lots of RS emblems and red stickers! There are at least four RS stickers and little AMG stickers in the interior The front grill was not made for this car and has been hacked on the sides to make it fit. Looks good from 10 feet or more though.

Looks like it's been a hard 33,xxx miles by the condition of the interior. A few rock chips on the front but nothing out of the ordinary.

Bottom line is that the previous owner probably thought he owned a Honda instead of an MBZ. Most everything you see except the wheels can be bought at Autozone. Waaaaaaaaay over priced at $31,000 IMO.

I dunno.. If the car has 400hp then it may be worth the 31k.. would have to remove all that RS crap though..

I bet the owner scammed the dealer when the car was traded it.. Probably got a few extra K for lying about it being an RS.. never know..

Pity the poor guy who buys this mess without confirming the 400 hp claim.

Now, those fender vents are another story. Maybe they will part out for those gems? Or perhaps a group buy from www.uselessnon-functionalcrap.com?
