2005 C55 AMG AC Noise
I have a 2005 C55 AMG that I purchased in Nov 2005. Now that it is hot in Texas I am running the AC lots. When on high I notice a loud whirring or turbine sound when standing outside the car. It is only slightly noticeable from within the car. Is this a normal MB thing or should I be concerned?

If you have the climate control in AUTO you will hear the loud whirring noise outside. I usually don't hear it when it's in the manual climate control mode. For the most part it is normal.

Sorry to resurrect this really old thread, but has anyone figured out what this is? Its happened since I got the car but want to make sure it is not going to cause my a/c to go out.

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
04 32 here, when I turn the ac on it doesn't kick on for a few minutes. It can also run fine.. then stop for a few minutes again. Cycling the key can usually recreate the issue. Any ideas?
No strange sounds.

What do you mean exactly when you say it doesn't kick on. Does it not blow air, blows warm then kicks in? Maybe the refrigerant level is getting low. If the pressure is too low the compressor may not turn on

Oh, sorry. Yeah, it does not turn on at all. No air is coming out. Then all of a sudden it starts working again. Its been this way for a while.. last two warm seasons. But after it eventually starts blowing air, it seems good until I restart the car again.
