I just got my car back form the dealership because of a srs problem and now that I have gotten my car back I have noticed some of my convience features have been changed. When I used to start my car or take my key out, the seats and steering wheel used to re-adjust itself so it was easier for me to get out. Now it doesnt do that and I cant seem to figure out why. I have checked the programming and cant seem to find whats wrong. If anyone knows how to fix this, your help would be much appreicated. Thank you.

Everything was probably reset. You have to go into the settings with your steering wheel, go to convenience features, and set it up the way you want it.

I have had multiple experiences with control modules being blown by repair work. They replaced my rear SAM and my window controller stopped working correctly. They replaced it and the right-hand side-view mirror stopped returning from it's reverse position. So they replaced that controller.

It sounds like they touched the electrical system and shocked a control module that affects the steering wheel. In my C55, that's the only thing that the convenience settings controls. I think the seats also move in the C32, but it's possible a new controller deletes that. I wonder if that's a safety concern.

I doubt it is a safety concern. I have seat/steering wheel move enabled on my C32. I know the 2006 SLK has seat/steering wheel move still, so I'm suprised they took it out of the C55
