Pls, Need Help on C55 Shift Point
Took my C55 to the dealer for a transmission clunk. The car comes back and in 1st gear the car won't shift past 6,100 RPM - i.e. it does NOT shift at the red line (6,500 RPM) like the other gears.
Do your C55's shift at the redline in first gear? Please let me know so I can inform the dealer...dealer is telling me I am nuts, but, I really believe my car used to shift at the redline in 1st.

I haven't even pushed the car hard enough to redline it. I might do this soon so I can see where it does redline at in most of the gears. I doubt there will be enough room for a 5th gear redline around town or even 4th for that matter.

! I managed to get up to 6,300 RPM in sport mode. I redlined in manual mode. I also managed a ticket at 135 mph. My first since I've had the car (11 months). I should've done the ecu reset prior to testing, I'm sure I would've redlined in sport mode as well. I shall try again tomorrow evening with an ecu reset and will get back with more results.

Ok I managed a 6300 RPM also in Sport Mode and never did try the Manual Mode.
SMJ there is no 6100 RPM as the increments are in 250. Mine just past the first bar and then changed to 2nd in sport mode. I'm sure in Manual mode it will redline until you change the gear. Can you accurately describe your problem again and in what mode are you in when doing this. Thanks.
