I would be afraid of papercuts while trying to wash that thing. Of course, if I could afford it, someone else would be washing it.

Any info? Production dates, engine specs, estimated price? Is this supposed to be an SLR replacement or a model thats placed between the SL65 and SLR? Looks pretty mean, its like Merc's version of the Gallardo.

If they build that, they will be helping to create a popular segment. The Lambo Gallardo, Audi R8, upcoming Lotus Esprit, and now this car, all seem remarkably similar. I guess there are only so many ways to make a rear engine coupe look.






Ever see a picture of an R8 next to a comprable Porsche 911? All of a sudden, the classic Porsche profile looks old. Porsche has had so little competition in their segment that they could afford to keep the same look.

And yes, they are currently doing feasibility studies for placement between the SL65 and the SLR.
