C30CDI AMG! Will u Buy it?
Seriously wud anyone buy the new C30 AMG?? They're trying to make diesel perform wud people take it or wud it be one of those things AMG shud never have done?

The C 30 CDI AMG is the first diesel to achieve performance figures worthy of a sports car and is unrivalled in its class. Its completely newly developed direct-injection turbodiesel with common-rail technology develops a maximum output of 170 kW/231 hp and a maximum torque of 540 Newton metres.

Diesel car tends to be noise heavy...
The engine is much heavyer than the conventional gasoline engine. That's the common problem on diesel car.

it will not be easy
The new AMG is sure to give C32 a really hard time on the highway. In the sprint the C32 will eat the new diesel, but on the highway the new diesel might even have the edge.
I am definately gonna test drive it when available.
Any rumours about the price ?

"The sporty performance figures are by no means typical of a diesel: the C 30 CDI AMG in saloon and sports coupé format accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds – 7.0 seconds for the Estate model – and has a maximum speed of 250 km/h (Estate: 245 km/h). In terms of fuel econ-omy the AMG model is a real diesel, however: the NEDC combined fuel consumption is 7.6 litres per 100 kilometres (Saloon and Sports Coupé) and 7.9 litres (Estate), which makes an operating range of more than 800 kilometres possible."
I do believe 0-60: 6.5-6.6s in not bad for an operating range of 500 miles !!!

Should be the same as the Petrol or maybe a bit lesser!
